Softswiss – Review & Guide

Softswiss Banner

SOFTSWISS is one of the recognisable names in iGaming. This global technology company specialises in developing cutting-edge software for the industry. Founded in 2009, SOFTSWISS is perhaps best known as a casino game aggregator, although they also produce various other technologies, from white-label products and compliance tools, to cryptocurrency solutions and more.

Today, SOFTSWISS powers more than 1,200 brands around the world, and they offer a diverse range of products, including their Game Aggregator, Turnkey Casino Platform, Sportsbook, and Affiliate Management System (Affilka). In this review, we’ll show you more about who SOFTSWISS are, what they do, and why their products are so important to the iGaming architecture.

What Are Casino Game Aggregators?

A casino game aggregator is a software product that enables online casinos to access a vast library of games from multiple providers through one single integration. This means instead of dealing with multiple individual game developers; operators can integrate an aggregator to streamline the process, letting them instantly offer thousands of casino games and slots.

Today, there are a few notable casino game aggregators, including Microgaming (Quickfire), Relax Gaming (SilverBullet), and Yggdrasil. SOFTSWISS is one of the largest, connecting operators to over 20,000 games from a whopping 200 different game providers. This includes the likes of:  Hacksaw Gaming, Nolimit City, Pragmatic Play, Relax Gaming, and Play’n GO

SOFTSWISS’ partnerships allow operators to offer a huge range of games, from slots and tables to live dealer games, provably fair crypto titles, and more.

History of SOFTSWISS

SOFTSWISS was founded in 2009 in Belarus by an entrepreneur named Ivan Montik. His goal was to create high-quality software solutions for the iGaming industry, and at first, the company focused on developing custom software. Soon, however, they realised a growing demand for a comprehensive iGaming platform that could cater to the needs of both new and established casino operators, so they turned their attention to creating that platform.

Over the next few years, SOFTSWISS’ platform achieved moderate success, but its software was used primarily at Curacao-licensed casinos, preventing it from going truly mainstream.

In 2013, SOFTSWISS enjoyed a significant milestone, introducing the first Bitcoin-focused casino solutions. This is when they started to enjoy a mainstream level of success.

Growth & Expansion of SOFTSWISS

Thanks to its crypto-derived success, SOFTSWISS then launched its Game Aggregator platform in 2015, providing operators with easy access to several slots and casino table games from multiple game providers. This was made possible through a single API integration.

Over the years, SOFTSWISS attracted the attention of more and more software providers, and they started working with operators based in better-regulated markets, Malta, for example.

Then, in 2018, the company launched Affilka, an affiliate marketing platform designed to optimise affiliate program management for iGaming operators. This was followed by the introduction of the Sportsbook Platform in 2020, enabling operators to offer comprehensive sports betting services. A few months later, in 2021, SOFTSWISS launched its Jackpot Aggregator, a tool to enhance player engagement through configurable jackpot campaigns.

Thanks to this rapid growth, SOFTSWISS expanded its global footprint and opened offices in Poland, Malta, and Georgia. Today, they employ some 2,000 staff members and work with more than 1,200 iGaming brands. They’re also regulated in some of the world’s largest iGaming markets, with some of their core international licenses including:

SOFTSWISS Aggregator Platform: Key Benefits

SOFTSWISS’ Game Aggregator has become one of the world’s most popular for several reasons. Of course, using a game aggregation solution rather than direct integrations offers numerous advantages in itself, especially when it comes to efficiency, cost reduction, and flexibility. Some of the biggest benefits operators can enjoy using SOFTSWISS’ includes:

A Single Integration for Thousands of Games: With SOFTSWISS’ Game Aggregator, operators can instantly offer users tens of thousands of casino games without needing to approach studios separately or implement multiple APIs.

Real-Time Reporting and Analytics: The built-in dashboard and reporting tools allow operators to view detailed player reports that showcase player behaviour, revenue trends, and even the performance of specific games.

Support for Multiple Currencies, Including Crypto: The aggregator supports fiat and cryptocurrency transactions, so it’s highly appealing to operators targeting unconventional markets.

Enhanced Security and Compliance: With integrated anti-fraud mechanisms, risk management tools, and adherence to international regulatory standards, operators may not need to pay for other compliance tools and systems.

Other SOFTSWISS Products and Services

Turnkey Online Casino Platform

In addition to its Game Aggregator, SOFTSWISS provides a fully comprehensive Turnkey Online Casino Platform. This is designed to help businesses launch and manage an online gambling operation without much technical experience or high overheads. SOFTSWISS’ turnkey platform includes everything an operator would need, from games and content to payment systems, customer support channels, and regulatory compliance.

One of the core benefits of their turnkey platform is that it’s highly customisable. One problem with many similar solutions is that they’re hard to personalise. This means a lot of casinos end up looking the same, and players realise this.

Perhaps the most notable part of this turnkey product is the built-in white-label solution. This allows almost anyone to launch their own online casino brand, relying primarily on SOFTSWISS’s robust infrastructure. SOFTSWISS’s white-label product significantly reduces the time and cost needed to launch an online gambling business, and better yet; it handles all licensing, software maintenance, and compliance requirements.

The platform also includes built-in risk management and anti-fraud measures, ensuring operators remain compliant with international gambling regulations while providing players with a secure and fair environment.

SOFTSWISS’ white-label product is one of the most popular in the industry. New operators can, almost immediately, offer customers thousands of games from multiplier providers and a fully integrated payment system that accepts both fiat and cryptocurrencies.

Crypto Casino Solutions

As we mentioned earlier, SOFTSWISS was the first provider to introduce cryptocurrency solutions to the iGaming industry, and ever since, they’ve been at the forefront of blockchain gambling technology.

SOFTSWISS’ cryptocurrency solution enables operators to run crypto-friendly casinos. Most major leading digital assets are compatible, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Tether, and Dogecoin. The platform is also designed to support both hybrid models so that operators can offer a combination of both fiat and crypto.

Another significant benefit of SOFTSWISS’ crypto technology is its integration with provably fair gaming technology. These games allow users to independently verify the outcomes of any game rounds on the blockchain, proving that the games are fair and truly random.

Sportsbook

Sports betting has become increasingly popular in the last few years, especially with the growth of cryptocurrencies. SOFTSWISS recognised this and decided to launch its own sportsbook platform, allowing bookmakers to use a comprehensive, easy-to-setup, and scalable solution.

Their sports betting platform is designed to offer a wide range of sporting events, eSports, and virtual sports markets. Operators using it can also offer customers pre-match and live betting options. Dynamic odds are also provided on certain markets.

Like their online casino product, SOFTSWISS’ sports betting platform is also designed to be as user-friendly and straightforward to set up as possible. Multiple integrations have been programmed into the software, including ones with leading odds providers, risk management firms, payment processors, and fraud detection systems. The sports betting platform also supports multiple currencies—including crypto—allowing operators to target markets where fiat-based payments are difficult to accept.

Social Gaming Platform

Another emerging trend in recent years is the rise in popularity of social gaming. Fittingly, SOFTSWISS has recently released its Social Gaming Platform, designed for operators wanting to create a highly-customisable social gambling product.

This system allows operators to launch social casinos with thousands of casino games and slots, with state-of-the-art features like leaderboards, player challenges, and, more recently, AI-powered game recommendations. Their social casino product integrates with existing SOFTSWISS-powered products and lets operators access detailed analytics to track player behaviour.

At the time of writing, SOFTSWISS’ social casino product boasts over 3,000 games from 30+ game developers. And, thanks to the newly released AI-powered Slot Finder, players can now enjoy a new, novel way of finding suitable games. The platform offers multiple monetisation opportunities, including in-app purchases and virtual economies.

Following up on the success of their social gambling product, SOFTSWISS themselves expanded into the market, investing in Ously Games GmbH, the company behind SpinArena.net, a popular social casino operating in the European market.

Jackpot Aggregator

SOFTSWISS’s Jackpot Aggregator is another advanced solution designed to enhance player engagement and retention by allowing operators to create and manage customised jackpot campaigns. This cloud-based system provides flexibility and scalability and can easily be integrated into existing iGaming ecosystems without needing physical servers.

It supports pre-configured jackpot templates and fully customisable campaigns, allowing operators to tailor promotions to their audience. The platform also enables multiple jackpot campaigns to run simultaneously, so multiple player segments can be targeted simultaneously!

The Jackpot Aggregator also boasts omnichannel integration, meaning that jackpot campaigns can be accessed across multiple devices. It also supports multiple currencies, allowing operators to expand into international markets and attract those wanting to gamble using cryptocurrencies.

There’s also a pretty unique feature called the Multi-Prizes Tool. This allows operators to distribute winnings among several players or groups, allowing them to run more sophisticated campaigns designed to boost player activity, extend session times, and improve brand loyalty.

Affiliate Platform & Marketing Tools

The final SOFTSWISS solution we’re looking at today is their affiliate platform, Affilka. This advanced affiliate management platform is designed to help online casinos and sportsbooks track, manage, and optimise their affiliate marketing efforts. It enhances acquisition strategies by providing detailed insights into traffic sources, conversion rates, and player behaviour, enabling operators to refine their marketing approach for better results.

Now, Affilka offers customisable commission structures, which allow operators to tailor their reward structures for their affiliate partners based on performance metrics such as cost-per-acquisition (CPA), revenue share, and hybrid models. The platform is also designed with automated reporting and payment processing tools, so everything from showing affiliates how much they’ve made to actually paying them is handled.

From the operator’s side, Affilka provides real-time data tracking, ensuring that affiliate managers have full control and transparency over their affiliate network. This also allows operators to identify the best-performing partners and adjust marketing budgets accordingly. The system includes built-in compliance tools and anti-fraud mechanisms, too—designed to protect against bonus abuse and other forms of fraud.

Internally, they maintain an ISO 27001-compliant Information Security Management System. This is designed to protect assets and keep customer data safe.

Externally, SOFTSWISS undergoes audits by industry experts at Gaming Laboratories International, one of the largest and most trusted names in iGaming compliance and testing.

SOFTSWISS has also obtained ICA certification for its anti-fraud department, which is not something most aggregators offer.

Summary

SOFTSWISS is one of the biggest names in iGaming, and they’ve become incredibly well known for offering one of the most comprehensive, robust, and operator-friendly platforms on the market.

From their early days, when they offered casino software solutions, to their crypto innovations, SOFTSWISS has set new standards for security, transparency, and flexibility.

In recent years, we’ve also seen SOFTSWISS adapting to new technologies and trends. Perhaps most notable is their ability to embrace AI. While this is something many companies are shying away from, SOFTSWISS are trialling several new technologies, most notably, perhaps, those found within their social casino products.

While players may have no idea they’re using SOFTSWISS’ online gambling products and services, operators rely on them heavily. If you gamble online, there’s a good chance you’ve played a game or bet on one of their products or software solutions at some point!
