PoggiPlay is a relatively new slots developer that launched in 2020. Despite a fairly small portfolio of games, the studio has managed to develop a very distinctive style that you can’t find anywhere else, and we’d describe it as a more modern variation of what we used to see from Betsoft in their 3D games.
Unfortunately, very few details about PoggiPlay are publicly available online, but we’ll do our best to inform you about company information, the in-game mechanics and features used in their games, and we’ll also provide you with a catalogue of demo slots from the studio that you can try out for yourself.

History & Company Background
Unfortunately, very little is known about PoggiPlay. We do know the company was founded in 2020, but other than that, there’s virtually no publicly available information about them. Their website doesn’t have an “about us” page, and so we’ll need to wait for more information about the software provider to be released before we can effectively write this section of our review.
Key Milestones, Timeline & Awards
2020 – PoggiPlay is founded in Armenia
2023 – Nominated for an EGR Rising Star award.
2025 – PoggiPlay demo slots are added to the demoslot.com platform.
Highest RTP PoggiPlay Slots
When picking a new slot to play, most players are generally influenced in their decision by the title’s theme and the in-game mechanics it includes, with statistics often overlooked. Whilst the flashing lights and bonus rounds shouldn’t be ignored as they are the main attraction, neither should important information like the volatility, size of the max win, and, finally, the return to player percentage, which determines the rate you’ll receive back over a sustained period of playing time. Below, we have taken the data captured from each PoggiPlay slot we add to our platform and placed it in a helpful table, which displays the slots from the provider with the highest RTP.
Slot Name | RTP |
---|---|
1. Roman Coin | 96.46% |
2. Aztec Maiden | 94.85% |
PoggiPlay Product Portfolio
PoggiPlay is an online slots developer, and that means there’s a slightly higher burden of expectation that we hold over them than we might if they were a multi-channel game developer. Thankfully, their slots are all designed to a pretty high degree of quality, and in the section below, we’re going to explore five of their most popular releases and cover any other aspects of gambling games they are involved in.
Online Slot Games
Lucky Captain
One of PoggiPlay’s first games was Lucky Captain, a five-reel, three-row game that boasts an above-average RTP of 96.65% and a minimum bet of just 10 cents! The game’s designed around a sailing theme, and you’ll see numerous theme-specific symbols on the reels, including a speedboat, rowboat, captain, and crab, with payouts of up to 200x for a five-of-a-kind combo.
The game’s main win potential is located inside the free spins bonus, and this is triggered by landing 3, 4, or 5 of the scatter symbols anywhere in view. Doing so takes you to a bonus game where you get to pick two random boosters, and these picks can award extra free spins or cash prizes. During the bonus, multipliers of up to 5x are applied to any winnings, so while it doesn’t offer anything overly groundbreaking, it’s a fairly good slot with reliable, tried-and-tested mechanics.
Space Collector
Space Collector was another relatively early release from PoggiPlay, and again, it’s designed around a five-reel, three-row layout. The game’s RTP is very slightly above average, 96.02%, and, as the name suggests, it’s themed around outer space!
The slot’s reels are set on a backdrop of a unique-looking planet, and you’ll see the game’s spaceman and his rocket on either side of the reels. Collecting three or more of the bonus symbols anywhere in view triggers the game’s bonus round, and during this feature, you get to take control of the spaceship! You get to choose from three different routes, allowing you to collect additional perks before entering the free spins bonus!
Roman Coin
Roman Coin is the latest release from PoggiPlay, and it’s designed around a five-reel, three-row layout. The game utilises some excellent 3D graphics, which is kind of like a modern version of what BetSoft tried to do with their earlier releases. Visually, it’s really impressive, and we were also surprised at how quickly it loaded!
There’s quite a lot of bonus action to be aware of, and first up is the COIN scatter symbols. Each coin contains a random number value. If multiple coins land on the reels, these values are added together and multiplied by the multiplier displayed.
If you land five or more in view, you trigger the free spins bonus too, which sees you awarded ten free games. During the bonus round, the sum of all scatter symbols accumulates throughout the bonus, allowing you to win up to 2,500x your stake if you reach some high coin values! Roman Coin also contains a bonus buy option, which costs 100x your base game stake.
Christmas Control
Christmas Control is, naturally, a festive-inspired slot from PoggiPlay, and it’s designed around a five-reel, three-row layout. Like most of their slot releases to date, the game uses some unique-looking 3D graphics, and you’ll see a rather curious-looking elf in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.
The padlock is the game’s scatter symbol, and landing 3, 4, or 5 of the scatter symbols anywhere in view triggers the game’s bonus round. You then get to make two choices, and these determine which boosters you enter the bonus round with. Available boosters include a 2x wild, a 3x wild, a 4x wild, a 5x wild, a super 2x wild, or “more free spins” – the latter of which awards you five additional free games!
The game also contains a bonus buy mechanic, which costs just 35x! While this is great for lower-staking players, it should give you an idea of the relatively low-variance maths model of the slot!
Aztec Maiden
To round off our top five PoggiPlay slots list, we’re looking at Aztec Maiden, the studio’s first scatter pays game! The slot’s designed around a 6×5 layout, and instead of paylines, wins are formed by simply landing enough matching symbols anywhere in view! To create a win, you need to land eight matching symbols anywhere in view – and once you do, these symbols disappear from the reels, and new ones drop down to take their place!
There’s a lot of bonus action happening in the game, too. If you land four scatter symbols anywhere in view, you’ll trigger the free spins bonus, and during the feature, a progressive (for each spin) multiplier comes into play. This can see multipliers of up to 25x applying to the total value of any wins you form for that spin!
Jackpot Slots
While many of PoggiPlay’s slots feature in-game jackpots, they have yet to develop any network or pooled progressive jackpot games for themselves. This is, of course, hardly surprising. Developing progressive jackpot games is a lot of work, and it’s usually reserved for the larger game developers with the budget and manpower to pull them off! However, PoggiPlay may well be able to produce progressive jackpot slots in the future, and if that happens, we’ll update this review accordingly!
Table Games, Bingo & Other Casino Games
PoggiPlay has chosen to focus entirely on online slots. Currently, they do not offer any casino table games, live tables, instant win titles, or any non-slots content. In our opinion, it’s somewhat unlikely that we’ll see them producing such games, given their focus on slots. However, never say never!

Game Mechanics, How They Work & Unique Features
With PoggiPlay being a game provider with a strong focus on online slots, you’ll encounter several popular mechanics and gaming engines in their releases. In this section, we’ll explain what gaming structures they use in their content and how each works.
Paylines
Paylines are, by far, the most common mechanic found in online slots, and they determine the specific patterns (over the reels) that symbols need to land in to form a win. Depending on the game (and software provider), slots can have as few as one payline or as many as 100! Older video slots often allowed you to adjust the number of active lines, too, although this has been largely phased out in today’s iGaming market.
Popular Payline Games From PoggiPlay:
- Lucky Captain
- Space Collector
- Inside the Hat
Cluster Pays
The cluster pays mechanic revolutionised traditional slots by eliminating conventional paylines! Instead, wins are formed when matching symbols land in groups or clusters that touch horizontally, vertically, or both. Cluster pays games generally require five or more adjacent symbols to be touching, and in most games, winning symbols disappear after forming part of a win, too!
Popular Cluster Pays Games From PoggiPlay:
- Pumpkin Potion
Scatter Pays
Scatter Pays is one of the most popular mechanics, due to winning combinations forming regardless of symbol position on the reels. Unlike traditional paylines or adjacent-reel requirements, scatter pay games award wins when a sufficient amount of matching symbols (according to the payable) appear anywhere on the reels! Essentially, it’s a pay-anywhere mechanic, so you don’t need to worry about where symbols land!

- Aztec Maiden
Ways to Win
Ways-to-Win mechanics do away with traditional paylines. Instead of following specific patterns, matching symbols only need to appear on adjacent reels, usually beginning from the leftmost reel. Initially, slots created in this style started off primarily with 243-ways-to-win, but later, game developers started to incorporate 1024-ways-to-win or even 4,096-ways-to-win games, too!
Popular Way to Win Games From PoggiPlay
- Calle Pinata
Bonus Buy
In modern online gambling slot games, the option to buy the bonus feature outright is an addition that almost all developers have integrated into their games. PoggiPlay has also chosen to offer its players this choice in several of its slots, and although the price can vary from game to game, typically, it will cost 100x the current bet for the feature round to be activated instantly.
Best PoggiPlay Slots Ranked By Demoslot Rating

Demo & Review
Our Conclusion:
The scatter pays mechanic remains a popular choice for players, and in PoggiPlay's Aztec Maiden slot, you'll encounter similar mechanics and gameplay as found in titles like Gates of Olympus 1000 from Pragmatic Play.
Cascading reels play a huge part in the slot, removing winning symbols from the reels and replacing them with new ones for extra chances to win. However, it's the free spins bonus where the best wins in the game can be achieved as multiplier symbols can appear and be applied to winning combos, as well as being stored in a global multiplier for later use.
There are some downsides to Aztec Maiden. The low max win of 2,000x is below the average for this style of game, as is the RTP, which is down at 94.85%. On the flip side, the bonus buy price of just 50x is very reasonable and worth considering if you choose to play the slot for real money.

Demo & Review
Our Conclusion:
Since we first started playing PoggiPlay slots, we've been very impressed with the high-quality graphics and presentation of their releases, which is again on display in Roman Coin.
As for the slot itself, the base game does lack a modifier or something to keep you interested, but I do like the twist in the free spins bonus, where coin values are collected and potentially multiplied by up to 15x whenever a collector wild symbol lands in view.
It's fair to say that Roman Coin isn't going to go on and claim any illustrious industry awards, but it's a fun game to play and one I recommend for a short playing session or a couple of bonus buys.
Commitment to Player Safety & Fairness
Licensing & Regulation
Currently, PoggiPlay does not seem to hold any valid online gambling licenses of its own, and there is no information about this on its website. However, like many smaller game studios, it can effectively operate in regulated markets by piggybacking on the licenses held by its aggregator partners.
When PoggiPlay distributes games through platforms like SOFTSWISS or BetConstruct, those games take on the regulatory compliance of the aggregator’s licenses. This arrangement allows newer studios to focus on game development rather than wasting time, resources, and money on getting licensed in multiple jurisdictions!
The aggregator takes responsibility for ensuring that all distributed content meets regulatory requirements in each market. Thus, they ensure that the games are fair, certified, and follow the appropriate standards in relevant markets.
Fair Play & Security
On its website, PoggiPlay explicitly says that all of its games are sent off to testing houses, where they receive certification. However, they don’t provide any details about which testing houses they use, and we were unable to find this information on the web, either.
However, it’s refreshing to see that they are getting their games certified, and their partnerships with companies like SOFTSWISS all but confirm this, as, without it, these game aggregators wouldn’t work with them!
Partnerships & Collaborations
One of the ways smaller, or newer, game studios like PoggiPlay manage to get their games into the lobbies of online casinos is by partnering up with aggregators. A casino game aggregator is a B2B service provider that acts as a middleman between game developers and online casinos. These platforms compile games from multiple studios into a single API integration, allowing casinos to access hundreds of titles through one technical connection, rather than the casino needing to form separate relationships with each developer.
In their media pack, PoggiPlay lists four key game aggregators: SOFTSWISS, BetConstruct, Infingame, and Slotegrator. These are four big brands in the iGaming world, with SOFTSWISS taking centre stage. These partnerships mean that PoggiPlay’s games can be pushed out to operators all around the world, easily and quickly, and it’s a solid strategy for getting their games in front of players.
Their media pack page also lists the online gambling operators they’re currently live with. These include vBet, 1Win, N1 Bet, Pari Match, BetBoom, MostBet, Pokerdom, and Bet.
Corporate Social Responsibility
As a small and new iGaming software provider, PoggiPlay doesn’t display any information on its website about corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. This isn’t unusual, as it’s typically reserved for larger game developers. However, it would be good to see this in the future, although we can’t imagine it will appear any time soon!

Final Summary
PoggiPlay may not have the most extensive portfolio of games, but they’re a studio that, in our opinion, has done a good job in the two to three years or so they’ve been operational! Their slot games are designed to a very high degree of quality, and we like the unique look and feel of their titles; they’re instantly recognisable, and, to be honest, not like what we see from most providers in today’s iGaming market!
We also find it quite impressive that the studio is already partnered with aggregator platforms like SOFTSWISS and BetConstruct. Sure, they’ve got a way to go, and they need to enlarge their portfolio and consider developing some unique mechanics of their own, but for now, we feel they’re on a good path in the industry.
