History & Company Background

Playzia was launched at the beginning of 2024, and it was founded by an industry veteran with two decades of iGaming experience. From day one, Playzia focused on “player-driven, innovative casino content.” They set off with a fairly aggressive road map, aiming for two releases per month. By late summer 2024, the studio’s first titles had been released, and later that year, they partnered with affiliate marketing hub First Look Games

Things went from good to better at the start of 2025, thanks to the release of three new games and a series of deals that all came within a fortnight of each other! Joker Dice, for example, was released on the 23rd January, and this came around the same time as partnerships with 1xBet and ITV Studios, the latter of which would see the studio producing a Love Island-themed game!

A month later, in February, Playzia partnered with SOFTSWISS, which saw their games added to hundreds of online casinos, and shortly after, they received a license to use Big Time Gaming’s Megaways mechanic. On February 25th, they also joined Light & Wonder’s distribution platform, whilst Greentube integrated their games for the German market in March, and EveryMatrix’s SlotMatrix added them just a few days later!

To summarise, in just over a year since their launch, Playzia’s games were available via dozens of iGaming suppliers, and their titles can now be found at online casinos across Europe, Latin America, and Asia!

Highest RTP Playzia Slots

When searching for a new online slot game to play, the theme, mechanics, and even the provider name might initially grab your attention, but it’s equally as important to look under the hood of the game and learn more about its statistics. This is where our RTP section comes in handy, as each slot we list from Playzia is positioned into a table that highlights the games with the highest return to player percentage from the studio. This helpful information can be viewed below.

Playzia Product Portfolio

Playzia’s product portfolio is currently centred almost entirely around slot games. They do have two Crash titles, details of which we’ll cover later, but it’s pretty clear that video slots are their bread and butter. Below, we’ll explore five of their games that have proven to be successful releases.

Online Slot Games

Billionaire Wolf

Billionaire Wolf is a five-reel, three-row video slot that uses 25 fixed paylines. The game’s played across a snow‑dusted North American forest where a lone alpha wolf can be seen walking! The game’s designed around a medium variance math model, and the game’s core appeal is the Hold & Win bonus round, triggered by landing six or more coin symbols anywhere in view.

Once triggered, you’ll enter a standard three-respin Hold & Win bonus, with any coin symbols landing locking in place for the duration of the feature. If you manage to fill the screen or land special coins, you can also win one of four non-progressive jackpots: Mini, Minor, Major, and Grand.

Rather interestingly, there’s also a free spins bonus round triggered by landing 3, 4, or 5 scatter symbols anywhere in view. During the free spins, any wilds that land lock in place, turning whole reels wild. You can also buy instant entry into the bonus round for 80x your base game stake.

Medusa’s Mystic Reels Megaways

Built on the licensed Megaways engine, Medusa’s Mystic Reels offers up to 117,649 ways to win on any base‑game spin, and it also includes a cascading symbols mechanic, so all winning symbols vanish from the reels, with new ones dropping down to take their place.

Three or more serpent‑haired Medusa scatters trigger the Mystic  Fight free spins bonus, a pretty standard Megaways bonus, with an unlimited win multiplier that increases by +1 after every cascade. There is a unique little twist, however: If Pegasus wilds land, they nudge extra ways into view, so it’s possible to increase the number of ways to win!

The game offers a bonus buy feature, allowing you to buy instant entry into the free spins for 100x your bet, and you’ll also find a gamble feature so you can try to gamble your starting number of spins!

T‑Rex Treasure Hunt Megaways

T‑Rex Treasure Hunt T-Rex Treasure Hunt Megaways is another slot game from Playzia that utilises BTG’s engine, enabling up to 117,649 ways to win on each spin! Similar to Medusa’s Mystic Reels, wins activate the cascading symbols mechanic, causing winning symbols to explode and new ones to descend, paving the way for consecutive hits!

Bonus-wise, there are a few things going on. Firstly, at random, the T‑Rex can let out a mighty roar and unleash one of three modifiers: wild meteorites, mystery‑symbol eggs, or a win multiplier boost that applies between cascades. Secondly, landing three, four, five, or six amber scatters triggers the free spins bonus, with two extra spins added for each scatter beyond the third. During the feature, the win multiplier doesn’t reset between spins. Plus, if you don’t want to try and land it naturally, you can also buy directly into the feature for 150x your stake.

Joker’s Dice

Joker’s Dice is a three‑reel, three‑row video slot with no fixed paylines; instead, landing three or more joker‑die faces anywhere awards scatter pays, also known as a pay anywhere slot.

Any full‑grid win triggers the Hold & Win respin feature: the nine triggering dice lock in place while three respins try to add more dice, resetting every time at least one new die lands.

Fill all nine positions, and you’ll land one of four fixed jackpots, Mini, Minor, Major, or Grand , with the top prize worth a healthy 1,000x! It may look like a basic slot, but we like the neon club soundtrack and the classic fruit machine vibes! There’s also a bonus buy, which costs just 60x!

Fight or Die Crew

Fight or Die Crew is a five‑reel, three‑row video slot that runs on a medium‑variance maths model. The game uses a unique collection-based mechanic, and yes, we know this is a marmite mechanic for most players; you either love it, or you hate it! Now, during the game, every chest‑badge symbol that lands is collected and added to a meter above the reels, and once you reach 20, you’ll trigger a three-stage jackpot bonus round.

Inside the bonus, you choose targets to reveal one of three fixed jackpots: Mini, Major, or Grand. These award 100x, 500x, and 2,000x your stake, respectively. There’s also a free spins bonus round triggered by landing three skull scatter symbols. During these free spins, wild symbols expand, covering entire reels, and there’s also a random “air strike” feature that, when triggered, adds extra wild symbols onto the reels!

Jackpot Slots

As of now, Playzia does not offer any standalone progressive jackpot slots that are linked to networks, so don’t expect to find any Mega Moolah-like games. However, a few of the studio’s games do offer in-game jackpots, although these are localised. For example, Tale of the Red Dragon includes a four-tiered jackpot that’s won through a Hold & Win bonus, and Billionaire Wolf has a similar mechanic.

It’s unclear whether the game developer plans to release progressive jackpot games in the future, but given their fairly ambitious path so far, we definitely wouldn’t rule it out!

Table Games, Bingo & Other Casino Games

Playzia’s current focus is overwhelmingly on slots, but, as we mentioned earlier, they have developed a couple of Crash games. This includes Banana Bonanza and VOAR, with a third title, Love Bus, planned for later in 2025.

As of now, the game developer hasn’t released any live casino or bingo games, and while their website does advertise that they’re “able to develop and produce classic table games”, they haven’t yet released any of their own. Finally, the studio’s roadmap does hint at more instant win and mini-games, but none have been officially announced as of the time of this review.

Game Mechanics, How They Work & Unique Features

Throughout this section of our review, we’re going to focus on the specific game mechanics that Playzia has used within releases so far. Additionally, we’ll give you a brief but informative overview of how each gaming engine works and what you can expect from it.

Paylines

Paylines are the most well-known and common mechanic found in slots, and in these games you can basically imagine invisible tracks running horizontally, diagonally, or, sometimes, in zig‑zags across the reels. To form wins, you need to line up matching symbols along any active track. Some games let you choose how many paylines to play, while others use fixed paylines.

Popular Payline Games From Playzia:

  • Billionaire Wolf
  • Safari Kingdom
  • Billionaire Rhino

Cluster Pays

Cluster‑pay slots are more modern, and they completely do away with the traditional payline mechanic. Instead, you’re tasked with trying to land groups/clusters of symbols. Any block of matching icons touching horizontally or vertically counts as a win, with most cluster pays games requiring a minimum of 5 or 6 symbols to form a win. Many cluster pays games also use a cascading reels mechanic, too, where winning symbols are removed from the reels and new ones then drop from above to replace them, giving you extra chances to win.

Popular Cluster Pays Games From Playzia:

  • Zeus’ Thunderstrike
  • Cosmos Ca$h

Scatter Pays

Scatter‑pay – or “pay anywhere” – games allow you to form wins by landing enough matching symbols anywhere on the screen, regardless of where they land. This means you can land (typically a minimum of) six or more symbols anywhere; they don’t need to be on an active payline, nor do they need to land in a cluster.

Popular Scatter Pays Games From Playzia:

  • Joker’s Dice

Megaways

Megaways is a game mechanic that was developed by Big Time Gaming (BTG), and it quickly became insanely popular, changing the face of online slots forever! In Megaways games, each reel can land a different number of symbols on each spin, usually between two and seven. This means there can be as many as 117,649 ways to win on each spin, which, with stacked symbols, can lead to some monstrous base game and bonus round hits!

Popular Megaways Games From Playzia

  • T-Rex Treasure Hunt Megaways
  • Medusa’s Mystic Reels Megaways

Bonus Buy

Playzia has opted to integrate the feature buy mechanic into a number of its online slots. In these games, players can choose to instantly access the free spins or bonus round for a fixed value, typically averaging around 100x the bet to buy.

Unique Features from Playzia

Crash and Instant-Play Integration

As we briefly mentioned earlier, Playzia has ventured into crash and instant-play games, although as of now, they only have a handful of live Crash games, with Banana Bonanza being the most popular of the bunch. In this game, a cartoon banana climbs shelves to increase a multiplier, and your job is to try and “cash out” before the banana slips and the game round ends.

You can win up to 10,000x, and while it’s not the most unique feature from a game studio, we felt it was worth noting, as Playzia don’t have much else to offer yet, given their young age!

Our Conclusion:

I was quite excited when I first saw Playzia's Piggy Cluster slot, but that soon turned to disappointment once I took a few spins and realised that a game with such a huge grid and in this style didn't contain the cascading reels engine, a must really for a slot of this nature. Things did slightly improve with the random symbols featuring multiplier values in the base game, but once I realised that was all the free spins bonus did too, granted a bit more frequently, it wasn't long before I'd had enough and called it a day.

However, despite my lack of love for Piggy Clusters, I can see how some players may find some value here, with the game offering plenty of wins during testing, and it comes with a bargain bonus buy option of only 25x the bet. Will that be enough for you to consider it for real money play? Try our free demo and find out.

Commitment to Player Safety & Fairness

Licensing & Regulation

Whilst we were researching Playzia, we did see a few sites claiming that the studio holds a license from the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA). However, we checked the MGA’s public register and could find no mention of Playzia. The studio also doesn’t list anything on its website, and if a game developer does hold an active iGaming license, you’ll usually find it linked in their website’s footer.

As of now, it appears Playzia is unlicensed, although we’d expect this to change in future. This isn’t inherently a bad thing, as they simply “piggyback” on the licenses held by their game aggregator partners, but it’s always good to see providers that do hold their own licenses.

Fair Play & Security

As mentioned, Playzia does not currently hold online gambling licenses. However, their games are tested by independent testing houses, and getting their games certified is a requirement for them to be added to aggregator platforms like Light & Wonder and SOFTSWISS.

Playzia doesn’t publicly reveal which testing houses they use, but some of the major names include eCOGRA (eCommerce Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance), iTech Labs, BMM (BMM Testlabs), and GLI (Gaming Laboratories International).

Before one of these testing houses can certify Playzia’s titles, they need to perform very thorough tests. They perform billions of simulated spins to ensure the provider’s theoretical RTP is accurate, they test the integrity and randomness of random number generators used, and they also examine all of the game’s source code to ensure there are no exploits or vulnerabilities. Only once a game has passed all these checks can it be certified and offered to players at online casinos!

Partnerships & Collaborations

Given they’ve been operational for a short period of time, Playzia has achieved a lot, and one of the main ways that they’ve been able to develop so many games and get them into so many online casinos is through partnerships, primarily with aggregator platforms.

For example, in early 2025, Playzia partnered with SOFTSWISS and Light & Wonder. These collaborations mean the provider’s games are automatically added to both aggregator’s platforms, so any online casinos that already use them will instantly get access to all of Playzia’s titles. Playzia also integrated with EveryMatrix’s SlotMatrix aggregation suite in March 2025 and with St8.io’s aggregation platform a month before.

However, it’s not just content aggregators Playzia has partnered with. The studio has also signed with other gambling companies. For example, in January 2025 they partnered with 1xBet, giving the operator access to Playzia’s games. They also entered into an agreement with Greentube (StarGames) in Germany, agreeing to supply three new games per month to the StarGames.de platform.

Now, also worth noting is one of the studio’s content/IP collaborations. In January 2025, Playzia partnered with ITV Studios in the UK, through PrimeTime Play, to produce a Love Island series of games. This will include at least ten titles and will include a mixture of slots, instant win titles, and Crash games. They recently announced that the series’ first game, a slot called Love Island: Love in a Spin, will feature mega symbols and multipliers!

Corporate Social Responsibility

As a very new company, Playzia doesn’t appear to run any corporate social responsibility (CST) initiatives yet. Of course, this is hardly surprising: such endeavours are expensive and time-consuming and not really needed unless it’s a bigger studio that needs to impress stakeholders or licensing bodies!

Still, Playzia does take things like responsible gambling seriously, and they build a number of responsible gambling tools into their games, including reality checks, loss/win limits on their autoplay mechanic, and more.

Final Summary

Playzia is still very new to the iGaming industry, but they’ve genuinely done a pretty impressive job in the relatively short space of time they’ve been operational for. Founded in 2024, the provider kicked things off boldly by announcing a roadmap promising two to three new games each month, and they appear to have stuck to this.

It’s also pretty impressive to see the range of partnerships and collaborations they’ve been able to put together in such a short space of time. Getting their games live on SOFTSWISS’ aggregation platform may not be the hardest thing in the world, but Greentube and Light & Wonder? These aggregators don’t work with just any game studios, and it’s great to see.

We also think it’s pretty impressive that Playzia has received a licence to use Big Time Gaming’s Megaways mechanic, and they’ve already produced a few Megaways slots! Plus, their January 2025 partnership announcement with the UK’s ITV Studios shows real promise: being trusted to produce a series of games for a franchise as large and popular as Love Island is really impressive.

Sure, their game catalogue is a little limited, just slots and two Crash games as of now, but given everything that we’ve seen from the software provider so far, we expect this to change soon. Our only other tiny complaint is the lack of a gaming license, and the fact that Playzia doesn’t publicly state which testing houses certify its games, but other than that, it’s a very promising-looking studio, and we’re excited to be following their journey!
