Super Waldo is, quite simply, one of the most brilliantly executed slot games we’ve ever seen; and yes, it’s also one of the most blatant rip-offs in iGaming history. Croco Gaming has taken a MASSIVE gamble by recreating the Super Mario universe so shamelessly, but we assume they put it to their own lawyers and got the sign-off... But still, it feels super risky, especially against a company like Nintendo, who are KNOWN for going up against even the smallest of copyright offenders.
That said, Super Waldo is absurdly fun, creative, and addictive. Every spin feels exciting and there’s just so much action thanks to the constant interaction between Bricks, Power-Ups, and the unpredictable Hungry Plant. The combination of multiple bonus rounds, from the 8-Bit Castle to the Secret Level and Crash Mini Game, makes this slot feel more like an actual video game than a slot you’ll find in a casino lobby.
Sure, the maximum win potential of 5,000x isn’t the highest, but it almost doesn’t matter. The production value of Super Waldo is absolutely off the charts, and the entertainment value of playing alone more than makes up for the low max win cap.
