What is Money Time?
Money Time is the highly anticipated release from Pragmatic Play, and it’s set to roll out officially at online casinos on the 24th September 2025. For all intents and purposes, it’s Pragmatic Play's answer to Evolution’s Crazy Time, but the game actually takes things a notch higher in some regards, such as by offering a massive 40,000x maximum win potential! Learn all you need to know about the game here in this detailed review.
Gameplay & Betting Features
Money Time is developed around a “mega wheel” which is made up of a total of 54 different segments. This includes the numbers 1, 2, 5, and 10, alongside four bonus round segments: Cash Roll, Bank Heist, Coin Rush, and Money Time. Before each round begins, you’ll be given around 20 seconds to place your bets, and you can choose to cover numbers, bonus segments, or a combination of both. Once the betting period is up, the presenter will spin the giant wheel!
Now, like we’ve come to expect from pretty much all live dealer games today, Money Time offers various betting options to make your life easier. This includes a “rebet” feature, which allows you to repeat your previous bet, and a “cover all bonus segments” feature, which automatically places a chip on all bonus segments on the wheel.
Plus, as with all recent Pragmatic Play live dealer games, Money Time offers you historical game results and statistics, and these can be viewed at the bottom of the screen.
Wheel, Interface & User Experience
Money Time, like all Pragmatic Play games, takes place in a well-lit professional studio. It’s really well put together, in our opinion, and you’ll see everything, from the design of the actual wheel to the presenter’s outfit, is fantastic. The wheel itself carries a gold colour scheme, and the studio itself uses a fusion of green colours, making you feel as though you’re sitting in the hot seat yourself!
As mentioned earlier, Money Time’s wheel contains a total of 54 segments, and depending on whether a number or bonus round segment lands, bettors will win a cash amount (equivalent to the number that lands) or entry into the bonus round. The bonus rounds themselves play out similarly to ones you’d find in an online video slot, or, more accurately, perhaps, similarly to ones in Evolution’s Crazy Time!
Money Time is also fully mobile optimised, so you’ll be able to enjoy the action no matter where you’re playing from! Just be aware, however, that the mobile-optimised version of the game is slightly stripped down. All the same betting options are available, but some features, like history and statistics, are hidden by default.
How to Play Money Time
If you’ve ever played live dealer games before, especially those based on a game show format, you’ll feel instantly at home with Money Time! The game’s really simple to play, and you can follow the steps below to get started:
- Place Your Bets: Once a new round begins, you'll be given around 20 seconds to place your bets. As we mentioned earlier, the game also has a “repeat” function, which works identically to autoplay on a video slot.
- Betspot Booster: Once the betting round has shut, the wheel is spun, and a unique Betspot Booster mechanic can randomly apply a multiplier to any number or bonus round segment. We’ll talk more about that in a moment.
- Results and Payouts: If the wheel lands on a number, any bets that cover that number are paid at the equivalent odds. If a bonus round segment lands, any players who have a bet on that segment then get to enter the bonus round!
Money Time Bonuses Explained
Like Crazy Time (and no, they’re not the same game, as Pragmatic Play will want you to know, but there’s no denying they are very similar), Money Time is basically all about the bonus rounds. There are four bonus segments on the wheel, each with a dedicated bonus round, and a Betspot Booster, all of which we’ll explain below.
Betspot Booster
When you begin playing Money Time, you’ll quickly see that the Betspot Booster mechanic plays quite a core role in the game’s payouts. While it’s certainly possible to win big without a Betspot Booster in play, it does, when activated, offer significantly more win potential, and it works very similarly to Crazy Time’s multiplier.
Once each game round begins and the wheel has been spun, a multiplier can randomly trigger, and if it does, it can be worth between 2x and 50x. This multiplier can be applied to any numbers or bonus round segments on the wheel, and once the wheel stops spinning, any multiplier value that landed successfully is then paid alongside your total win.
Cash Roll
The first of the four “main” bonuses is Cash Roll, and it’s definitely the most straightforward of the four. It also tends to land quite often, making it similar, in our opinion, to Crazy Time’s Coin Flip.
When Cash Roll is triggered, all players with a bet covering the Cash Roll segment enter the bonus round, and a single die is rolled, which opens one of six golden briefcases. Each briefcase simply contains a multiplier, and whatever multiplier is revealed is what you win!
Bank Heist
Bank Heist is the second bonus in Money Time, and it’s the one with the most strategy. Once triggered, you’ll enter a bingo-inspired game where you’ll see sixteen numbered bingo balls. Each ball is linked to a deposit box, and some of these boxes contain multipliers. The others contain bonus boosters. The balls are drawn randomly until one lands on a prize.
Now, if the ball drawn corresponds to a booster, all of the remaining multipliers are upgraded before the next draw, so, in other words, the longer the round lasts without a ball hitting a prize ball, the higher the win potential becomes!
Alone, you can win up to 800x here, but if the Betspot Booster mechanic is in play, the Bank Heist bonus round is where you’ll find the game’s maximum win potential of 40,000x up for grabs!
Coin Rush
The third bonus round in Money Time is Coin Rush, and this bonus plays out on an 8x8 grid which contains hidden coin values. Before you’re tasked with picking from the spots, five bonus boosters land randomly on the grid, and these multiply surrounding coin values by 5x. The maximum win potential in Coin Rush, despite its simplicity, is an impressive 25,000x.
Money Time
The final bonus is Money Time, the game’s signature feature. What’s a bit unusual, though, is that Money Time (the bonus) doesn’t offer you the chance to win the game’s maximum win potential of 40,000x; the most it can award is 29,000x.
Once triggered, you’ll be tasked with picking one of three colours: green, red, or blue. Each pick represents a prize track, and a reel is then spun to award a multiplier. This multiplier is then added to the colour’s prize box, and if the reel lands on a re-spin symbol, you get up to three extra spins in that same round, further accumulating multipliers.
Crazy Time Payouts, Probabilities, and RTP
Pragmatic Play is always very open when it comes to payouts, probabilities, and RTPs, and this actually makes our job a lot easier!
Here’s a quick summary of Money Time’s payouts:
| Bet Type | Payout | Probability |
| 1 | 1-50:1 | 96.55% |
| 2 | 2-100:1 | 96.55% |
| 5 | 5-250:1 | 96.55% |
| 10 | 10-500:1 | 96.55% |
| Cash Roll | 1-5,000:1 | 96.55% |
| Bank Heist | 3-40,000:1 | 96.30% - 96.56% |
| Coin Rush | 5-25,000:1 | 96.25% - 96.55% |
| Money Time | 10-29,000:1 | 96.36% - 96.56% |
Streaming Quality
Money Time is built on Pragmatic Play's signature game development mode, and this means the streaming quality is superb. So, you can expect very low latency, almost zero lag, and, if you are playing from a slightly weaker connection, Pragmatic Play automatically optimises the game to minimise any disruptions!
Money Time Strategy
Money Time is a casino game; that means there is never going to be a reliable way to “beat” it in the long run. However, there are some Money Time strategies to be aware of, and these can help to improve your gaming experience and help you to decide what to bet on and when.
Cover All Bonuses
Arguably the most popular strategy used by players in Money Time is to simply bet on all four bonus round segments. This became a go-to strategy for many players in Crazy Time, and it’s pretty easy to see the logic behind it.
In games like Money Time, almost all the action and win potential is found within the bonus rounds. By placing a bet on each of the bonus round segments, you ensure you never miss out on the action if one of them lands, and you’re basically saying, “Look, I don’t care about the small number-based wins; let’s wait for the bonus rounds to come and hope to get lucky!”
Number + Bonus Betting
Somewhat of a “middle ground” betting strategy is to combine bets on both numbers and bonuses. For example, some players might choose to bet on the number two while covering all the bonus round segments. The idea here is that the number two lands often enough to offer some returns, but you’ve still got the bonus round bets on as your “bankers”.
Safer Betting
If you’re more of a cautious player and want to minimise your risk (although we’d argue that if that’s you, you’d be better off playing other games entirely), then you can also consider a “safer betting” strategy. This means you primarily cover numbers but have one or two small bets on the bonus rounds.
This way, you’re going to end up hitting numbers more frequently, but you’ve still got a couple of bonus round segments covered for when bonuses do land. Just be aware that this strategy can be very frustrating when the bonus rounds that you haven’t covered land.
Money Time Statistic Tracking
Money Time might be designed to win overall, but if you’re a gambler, you’ll also know that it becomes all too easy to look for “patterns”, and if you’re the type of player that enjoys looking for hot/cold numbers or basing your betting strategies around game history, then our Money Time results tracker may be of interest to you!
Why Do Players Check Previous Money Time Spin Results?
It’s actually very easy to understand. If you’ve ever played a game like European Roulette, you’ll know that it can sometimes feel “off” when a number lands a lot or when one doesn't land for hundreds of spins. This can lead players into believing certain numbers are “hot” or “cold”.
The reality, however, is that this is simply a gambler's fallacy. It feels logical, but in reality, every Money Time spin is 100% random and independent from the last. It doesn't matter whether a bonus round hasn't landed in 10 spins or 1,000; the likelihood of it landing next remains the same.
Are There Any Benefits To Using a Money Time Stats Tracker?
While Money Time stats trackers can’t help you to “beat” a game in the long run, they can provide you with some useful advice. For example, you can use our stats tracker to:
- Check out whether bonus rounds have landed recently
- See which segments have had Betspot Boosters on them the most
- Check if multipliers have been on the lower or higher side lately
- See the average payouts for bonus rounds
Of course, it doesn’t really matter what’s happened in the past, and previous results don’t change the odds of anything happening (or not happening) in future game rounds, but it can be nice to get a better idea of how the game’s playing and which bonus rounds are landing frequently, or, more importantly, what they’re typically paying.
What Do Money Time Trackers Tell You?
The stats trackers you’ll find online can give you some useful information. This includes:
- How often bonus rounds have landed over time
- Which numbered segments have hit most recently
- The size and frequency of multipliers awarded
- Details on Betspot Booster outcomes and their applied values
- Hot and cold patterns, purely for player interest
Pros
- Insane maximum win potential of 40,000x
- Some unique features compared to other game show live dealer games
- High RTPs and payout percentages
Cons
- It’s almost a Crazy Time clone
- There’s not much point playing if you’re not covering the bonus round segments
- Bonuses can often pay very little
Money Time Final Thoughts
Since Evolution took the live dealer gaming world by storm with the release of Crazy Time, other software providers, Pragmatic Play included, have tried their best to catch up. While they saw some success with titles like Mega Wheel and Sweet Bonanza Candyland, they were far from capturing any meaningful piece of the market from Evolution until now.
Money Time, while very similar to Crazy Time, offers a higher maximum win potential, slightly better RTPs, and, most importantly, it’s fresh. Players know what Crazy Time is, how it works and what to expect, so, while Money Time is very similar, the bonus rounds are different, and this is likely to play out in Pragmatic Play's favour.
