Game Overview
Casino game and slot provider Stakelogic wants you to face the gods, and who mightier to challenge in the world of mythology than the fearless Zeus. The Wrath of Zeus slot is a cluster pays game with two main bonus rounds where players could walk away with a top prize of 10,000x their bet.
Theme & Design
Greek mythology is a common slot theme and one that has produced some brilliant releases over the years, so you can’t fault gaming studios still looking to cash in on this genre. In Stakelogic’s Wrath of Zeus, it’s a design you’ll have seen dozens of times before, with the backdrop to the game likely to be Olympus, whilst Zeus is positioned to the side of the game, ready to wave his lightning bolt at something during the gameplay which spits out a modifier or two in your favour.
With so many titles to choose from in this niche as a whole, you’re never going to find yourself short of options for something to play, but if you want a couple of recommendations straight off the cuff, go try out Gates of Olympus Super Scatter from Pragmatic Play and Invictus from Hacksaw Gaming.

Wrath of Zeus Gameplay & Features
Wrath of Zeus is played over a 5×4 reel matrix operating on the cluster pays engine, with the slot awarding a payout when a minimum of five matching symbols appear anywhere adjacently within the playfield. Players can start the reels spinning from a minimum of €0.20 up to a maximum of €75, whilst the game comes with an RTP of 96%.
Central to the gameplay is the Clusterbreaker mechanic, which can randomly split any non-wild or scatter symbol into 2, 3 or 4 identical pieces in both the base game and the free spins round. Additionally, in both the base and bonus rounds, the Thunder Breaker symbol can also appear or be activated by Zeus. This can carry a multiplier of up to 10x, which will be applied to all winning combinations that it is a part of.
Wrath of Zeus comes with two main bonus rounds. The first we’ll discuss is the free spins feature, awarding 5 spins when a scatter symbol lands on reels 1, 3, and 5 simultaneously. During this round your chances of hitting the Thunder Breaker improve, and you can also activate the Hold & Win bonus, which we’ll cover next.
The Hold & Win feature triggers in the base game or free spins when 5 or more coin symbols appear in view. The round starts with 3 respins, which refresh back to 3 each time a new coin symbol lands in view. Additionally, if 5 coins cluster together, they will merge into a 1×1 coin and increase one position on the Thundering Wrath Meter above the reels. Each time this is filled, it will increase in value (up to a max of 200x) and apply itself to a random coin within the grid. The bonus will end when the spin count reaches zero.
Bonus Buy & Enhanced Betting
- Super Stake: The super stake option can be toggled on, which increases your chances of triggering the feature at a cost of 50% on top of the bet.
- Free Spins Bonus Buy: The free spins feature can be triggered at the cost of 100x the current bet.
- Hold & Win Bonus Buy: The Hold & Win feature can be triggered at the cost of 80x the current bet.
Pros
- Two bonus rounds to trigger.
- The clusterbreaker is a tidy little mechanic.
- A max win of 10,000x the bet.
- The Thunder Breaker can transform your feature into a round that pays huge rewards.
Cons
- There are multiple games already out there with a free spins/hold & win feature combo.
- The Zeus theme is overused in the industry.
Wrath of Zeus Slot Review Final Thoughts
Stakelogic's Wrath of Zeus slot was always going to be up against it in the Greek mythology niche, where several longstanding games have long reigned supreme. That doesn't mean that it's a bad game, as the Clusterbreaker mechanic is fun, and the Thunder Breaker has the potential to pay you a whole bunch of cash; it's just the slot theme and genre as a whole seem as though they've been done to death at this point, and maybe I'd have enjoyed these mechanics more had they been used in anything other than a mythological release.
However, that's just one person's opinion, and you may well decide this is the game of all games in the Greek niche. As always, there's one way to find out, slot fans. Take our free demo slot for a spin and make up your own mind.
