Game Overview

Provider Playtech’s name may be plastered all over the loading screen of Witches Cash Collect, but it is, in fact, a product of another developer known as Origins; a curious fact, considering that the three witch-like characters who star here look like they could have been pulled straight from Playtech’s own Halloween Fortune asset collection. This is a 30 fixed pay line game with a 95.27% RTP, and whilst the rules page does state that the game has a fixed upper limit as far as winnings are concerned, it does not state what it is.

I’m sure Origins will do better with the feature set. I really, really hope so anyway! There’s a cash collect feature, which I despise, if I’m honest – it’s another of those Fishin’ Frenzy type things where you have a bunch of symbols with values on them that are essentially useless unless you also catch a “collect” symbol at the same time. On the plus side, the cash collect symbols remain frozen for three spins each time they appear during the free spin bonus round. Four jackpot prizes can be won via the COLLECT feature too, so it’s a little better than other implementations of this type of feature.

Witches Cash Collect Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols

Paytable For The Witches Cash Collect Slot
Witches Cash Collect slot paytable

It seems that witches are a compelling theme for an online slot; understandably, we get a flood of them around this time of year, with Halloween just around the corner. Witch Treasures is another example that was released but only scored an average of 7.5 here at Demoslot. Can Origins do any better with their attempt? Let’s start by investigating the numbers on the paytable!

First of all, this is one of those frustrating online slots where you need to divide all the numbers shown by 30 to get the real value – Origins were too lazy to make your computer do that tiny bit of math for you; not a good start, my friends, but it is only a minor niggle in reality. The red witch is the highest-paying symbol with a return of 5x your bet for a full payline, whilst the blue witch is worth 4x and the red one just 3x your bet for a full line of five-of-a-kind. Clearly, the witches aren’t the biggest prizes on offer in this game. Well, once again, I really hope not, anyway! A skull being used as a candle and a crow will both pay you 2.5x for all five of those pairs of symbols.

I’m a little unsure what the maximum bet per spin will be on this game when playing in real money mode, as the demo mode allows you to bet up to €500.00 per round – probably a little more than many casinos will want to allow. The minimum bet of €0.10 is likely to be correct, however.

Base Game & Modifiers

Up To 10,000x Your Bet Can Be Won In The Witch Cash Collect Online Slot From Game Provider Playtech
Witch Cash Collect slot base game

Base gameplay works out exactly as you might expect, with a five reel, three row layout sporting the thirty fixed paylines, which award a win whenever three or more matching symbols appear from left to right. The only regular symbol which is stacked on the reels is the wild – which, if I had to choose, is the one that I would pick – but it doesn’t help you to win on a lot of pay lines simultaneously unless you are lucky enough to hit several full stacks of wilds on multiple reels together.

Cash Collect Symbol

This special symbol only appears on the fifth reel and will collect all of the cash prizes, free spins, or jackpot symbols that are visible on the screen at the time when it makes its appearance:

  • Cash Prizes are presented as spider webs with a multiple of the current stake printed on them.
  • Free Spins are signified by a blue circle with a plus sign and several free spins printed after it.
  • The diamond symbol awards a jackpot of either: 20x (MINI), 50x (MINOR), 200x (MAJOR), or 500x (GRAND)

Witches Cash Collect Slot Bonus Features

There Are Two Bonus Features That Can Be Triggered Whilst Playing The Witches Cash Collect Video Slot
Witches Cash Collect slot jackpot feature

Free games are won in Witches Cash Collect by hitting at least one blue circle free spins symbol, plus a CASH COLLECT symbol on reel five. The total number of free spins awarded is determined by adding the values of all free spin symbols that land on the same spin as the CASH COLLECT symbol. You can also win multiple cash prizes and/or jackpots from the same spin.

Free Spins Feature

During this mode, the CASH COLLECT symbol will appear on all five reels instead of just reel five. Furthermore, all CASH COLLECT symbols that land during free spins will become sticky for two more spins after the first spin on which they land.

Witches Cash Collect Slot Review Final Thoughts

I wasn’t too keen on this game to begin with, but the free spins feature saves it from becoming dull, as it is pretty easy to have the CASH COLLECT feature activated for near enough of your entire bonus round with just a small amount of luck, and that means you should be able to win at least one jackpot, probably a re-trigger or two, and a whole bunch of cash prizes every time you get to the free spins.

Of course, that does assume you don’t get unlucky and only win one free spin to start with! But, such is the way when you are playing online slots – sometimes things go your way enormously, and other times, you want to throw your laptop out the window! Trust me; it isn’t worth the latter – try another game, or better yet, fire up Grand Theft Auto Online and take your finest weapon to the slots in the Diamond Casino. That will make you feel better!
