The game’s core mechanic revolves around Expanded Wild symbols, which substitute for all symbols except Scatters. In the base game, these Wilds can appear on reels 2 to 5 and expand to cover the entire reel when they land. Now, when they do, they can also carry a random multiplier of between 2x and 512x. Only one Expanding Wild can land per spin, but the multiplier displayed is then applied to the total win for that spin.

Wild Skullz’s Free Spins bonus is triggered by landing three Scatter symbols anywhere in view. Once triggered, on the first Free Spin, an Expanded Wild lands on reel 5. With each subsequent Free Spin, it shifts one reel to the left, moving from reel 5 down to reel 1. If a Scatter lands on reel 5 during the feature, the Expanded Wild jumps back to reel 5, too.

Also worth noting is that during the Free Spins bonus the Wild begins without a multiplier.
