Game Overview

One of my favourite aspects of Play’N’Go as a software developer is the fact that they don’t pump out too much in the way of clone slots – of their own games, or other developers. In a way, you could call them the “Aldi” of online slots – not to say that they are cheap, but that they pick a familiar and popular theme and create their own completely fresh game. This 4,096-way slot, Wild Blood 2, is a perfect example – obvious inspiration has been taken from NetEnt’s Bloodsuckers and Microgaming’s Immortal Romance, but it’s still a unique game with a maximum win of 5,000x stake. The game’s RTP can be as high as 96.18% or as low as 84.19% depending on your region and the settings the casino is using.

The sixth reel in this game has a special modifier that awards stacked wilds and a free re-spin when triggered. A full free spin bonus round also offers up to 25 free spins, with more spins being awarded for hitting more than the minimum three scatter symbols. Finally, when you do hit the free spins you are offered a choice of three different bonus rounds to select from.

Wild Blood 2 Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols

Paytable For Wild Blood 2 Slot

As mentioned in the first paragraph, there is definitely inspiration from other online video slots visible in the Wild Blood 2 slot game. Vampire style imagery is everywhere – on the reels, the backgrounds, and the bonus games. Many people believed that Immortal Romance was inspired by the Twilight series of movies… actually that’s hard to argue against. Therefore, Wild Blood 2 has some lineage there too. The sound is nicely atmospheric, with just the right amount of liveliness added during the feature to let you know this could be your moment to shine. Also, Play’N’Go’s animators and programming skills are second-to-none – everything runs beautifully smooth despite being run on a second monitor on an extremely overloaded laptop.

As for the paytable, well the scatters don’t have any value attached to them disappointingly, and a full line of wilds is no different from a full line of the top symbol. Actually, make that three top symbols – all three of the girl symbols, green, blue, and red, all pay 7.5x your stake for a full six of a kind. Not so impressive on its own, but with 4,096-pay ways and stacked symbols on the reels, this game still has enormous potential. There are two final picture symbols – a skull lamp paying 6x, and a dagger paying 3x.

You can bet between €0.20 per spin and €100.00 per spin depending how rich – or crazy – you are feeling on the day. Many sites list this game as being “medium volatility”, perhaps because of the maximum single spin win figure of 5,000x. As always, I do not recommend anybody starts betting €100.00 spins on any slots, but I guess some whales will be grateful for the option.

Base Game & Modifiers

Play With 6 Reels, 4,096 Paylines, And Win Up To 5,000x Your Bet In Play'n Go's Wild Blood 2 Online Slot

There isn’t too much going on in the base game, although the large 6×4 playfield and 4,096 ways to win configuration do mean you have a decent chance of winning big even without hitting the magical scatter symbols. Thankfully, Play’N’Go did add just one little modifier to help out as well:

Vampire Bat Re-spin Feature

When fully-stacked wilds land on the final reel, your winnings (if any) will be added to your balance, after which the stacked wild will transform himself over to the first reel. A free re-spin will now occur, which has a great chance of hitting some kind of win as you only need to match symbols on reels two and three.

Wild Blood 2 Slot Free Spin Feature

Choose From 3 Bonus Rounds When You Trigger The Free Spins Feature On Wild Blood 2 Video Slot

Hitting three or more scatter symbols will trigger the “bloodlust” free spins round. Hit the minimum of three triggering symbols and you will receive ten free spins. This increases to 15, 20, and finally, 25, if you catch the remaining, scatters on the other reels.

Laura Free Spins Feature

A personal favourite, all wilds landing in this mode will expand to fill the entire reel. This means if you hit a wild on all six reels during these free spins you will be rewarded with this game’s maximum jackpot. Check out the Rebecca free spins too though, as that is a close second place in my view.

Margaret Free Spins Feature

This is the option I very rarely choose unless I am just looking for a break from the same old two features I normally pick. Every four wilds that land on-screen will increase your active multiplier by 1x up to a maximum of 5x, and you also receive an additional two free spins for every four wilds that land as well. Not bad, just not as good as the other two.

Rebecca Free Spins Feature

Finally, the Rebecca free spins adds multiplier wilds into the mix. These can have a 2x or 3x label on them, resulting in a maximum multiplier of 81x. I only managed to get a 3x2x2x combo whilst testing for a total of 12x, but that still isn’t bad. Overall though, I think the Laura feature has to be the best of the bunch.

Wild Blood 2 Slot Review Final Thoughts

It’s been a while since I played this game, and I very much enjoyed coming back to it. The huge range of adjustable RTP’s is a problem like with most Play’N’Go slots, but the casinos are usually required by law to disclose their game’s RTP (Depending on their regulators) so just make sure you aren’t playing at under 94% before starting to spin!

A huge improvement over the original game, and one that should appeal to a large percentage of online casino players.
