As we all know, if a name or noun finishes with a vowel, it will likely be Italian; sure enough, Bandito is the Italia word for bandit! I bet you would never have guessed. Bandit is just a fancy word for a robber, and yet somehow bank robbers are glamorised whilst a significant stigma is attached to being a bandit. It hardly seems fair. Let’s not forget bank robbers such as those featured in Cops’N’Robbers Big Money or Cop the Lot don’t even have any fashion sense – they always dress in those horrific stripey jumpers! That’s one point to Team Bandito in the wardrobe stakes, but who has the most cash? A quick glimpse at the paytable reveals that the highest-paying symbol is the Bandit himself, but he will only pay you 2.5x your current stake for a full payway of five of a kind. The Guitar is worth 2x for all five symbols, whilst the Lime Cocktail will pay you 1.5x for a complete payway. The final high-paying symbol is a pair of Maracas, but it’s really not especially high-paying, with a return of just 0.75x for five-of-a-kind. Meanwhile, the payouts for the low-paying royal symbols range between 0.3x and 0.6x the current stake – I guess this is the price you pay for having over a thousand payways available on which to score a win.

The familiar PG Soft bet selection system is highly flexible and allows you to play any multiple of the minimum €0.20 bet up to a maximum of €100.00 per spin. This will enable players of all sized budgets to play Wild Bandito, which has to be a good thing, right?

The base game is played on a five reel, four row playfield with 1,024 payways. Unlike games that use traditional paylines, you only need to catch three or more matching symbols on adjacent reels to score a win – it does not matter which row the symbols happen to land on as long as they start from the lefthand side.

Gold Framed Symbols

This is a simplified variation of the coloured border feature used in previous PG Soft games. During any spin, one or more symbols on reels two, three, or four can randomly appear surrounded by a golden frame.

If a winning combination happens to pass through one or more of these golden frames, those positions will be tagged to receive a wild symbol on the subsequent reel cascade.

Multiplier Feature

This is a cascading symbols machine, meaning that all winning combinations will be removed from the reel set immediately after landing. When this occurs, new symbols will drop in from the top of the screen to fill the resulting gaps. At that time, the current multiplier will increase by 1x.

If further wins occur after the playfield has been re-filled, those wins will also be removed from play, and the multiplier will again increase by 1x. This process can repeat indefinitely as long as new winning combinations land on the screen.

Hitting three scatter symbols anywhere on the screen will award 12 free spins. If more than three scatters appear in the triggering combination, the game will add two extra free spins to your starting total for each additional scatter.

Free Spins

Several base game features are enhanced in this mode to make it easier to hit larger wins. Firstly, the golden frames feature is permanently active for the duration of the bonus round, which means that all symbols appearing on the centre three reels are guaranteed to have a golden border.

Next, the win multiplier will not reset between free spins as it does between paid spins. The multiplier will continue to increase throughout the bonus round and will even be retained throughout multiplier re-triggers if you are lucky enough to hit them!
