Slot Overview
Vegan Nightmare is a prehistoric, tongue-in-cheek slot from Just Slots, and it combines elements of caveman-based comedy (we’d love to watch that in real life) with aggressive Random Wild Drops, Multipliers, Free Spins, and a maximum win potential of 10,000x. It’s a prehistoric-themed game, but how does it fare in 2026? Demoslot investigates.
Gameplay & Bonus Features
Vegan Nightmare is played on 5 reels and 4 rows with 20 fixed paylines, with wins forming from left to right. You can bet between €0.10 and €100 per spin, and the game is available in multiple RTPs; 96.18% is the highest.
The base game’s main potential comes from the Random Wilds, and on any spin, between 4 and 12 Wilds can be added to the reels. On top of that, Wilds can occasionally land with multiplier values, too, which range from 2x to 100x.
The main Free Spins bonus is triggered by landing 3, 4, or 5 of the Scatter symbols anywhere in view, and this awards 4 initial spins. During the feature, any Wild that lands becomes sticky, locking in place, and every new Wild that appears resets the spin counter back to 4, so it’s kind of like a hybrid between Respins and Free Spins. The number of Scatter symbols that triggered the feature also determines how many Sticky Wilds you start with:
- 3 Scatters = 1 Sticky Wild
- 4 Scatters = 2 Sticky Wilds
- 5 Scatters = 3 Sticky Wilds
Bonus Buy & Ante Bet
Vegan Nightmare offers a few optional Bonus Buy/Ante Bet options. The Hot Spin can be enabled for 2x your base game stake, increasing your odds of landing a bonus game. There are also 3 Bonus Buy options: 85x triggers the feature with 3 Scatter symbols, while 140x and 225x trigger the feature with 4 and 5 Scatters, respectively.

Theme & Design
Vegan Nightmare plays out inside a dim cave, and you’ll see doodles and drawings on the walls, so it really does feel as though you’re inside a prehistoric environment! You’ll see a small baby dinosaur (with an attitude) beside the reels, and he (or she) is animated, moving around as you play!
It’s not the most complex-looking video slot we’ve ever reviewed, but what Just Slots has managed to do here works. It may be a little different from their atmospheric Rain & Ruin or their feature-packed, highly volatile Dynamo’s Show, but Vegan Nightmare looks good, and we love the humour behind the slot!
Pros
- Random Wild Drops are quite entertaining in the base game.
- Multipliers of up to 100x on Wilds.
- Win up to 10,000x your bet.
Cons
- Vegan Nightmare is quite a volatile game.
- The base game isn’t overly exciting when Wilds/Multipliers don’t show up.
- Lower RTP versions of the game are available; always check the one you’re playing.
Final Thoughts
Vegan Nightmare is quite a fun caveman-and-dino slot that focuses less on complicated rules and more on a pretty simple mechanic on the face of it: Wilds, Multipliers, and Respins. The theme is light-hearted, and we genuinely enjoyed writing this review.
In terms of volatility, it’s definitely a little “spiky”, but that’s pretty much the only way to design a game that offers a maximum win potential of 10,000x! The game’s biggest wins will come from the respins/free spins, yes, but the base game can throw in some decent little hits, too, if enough Random Wilds land with Multipliers.
Look, Vegan Nightmare isn’t reinventing any formulas, nor is it likely to win any “Best Game of the Year” awards. It is, however, a solid, well-put-together game, and if you enjoy feature hunting and don’t mind some quieter patches while you do wait, then it’s a great game to check out, in our opinion.
