Slot Overview
Track’n Gold is a high-volatility slot from Play’n GO using a 20-payline setup combined with falling wilds, a free spins and colossal reel feature, and a hold & win bonus round where players can win up to a maximum of 5,500x their bet.
Gameplay & Bonus Features
Using a 5-reel, 3-row configuration, Track n’ Gold features 20 fixed paylines, paying out when matching symbols land consecutively from left to right. Players can stake from €0.10 up to €100, while the RTP is set at 96.00%.
The Falling Wilds feature can trigger at any point, dropping a number of wilds onto the reels before or after a spin. If wilds land on top of each other, they turn into multipliers, which can reach up to 3x on a single position.
When these are involved in a win, the values are combined and applied to the payout, so if you get a few stacked together, the win can jump quite quickly.
Free Spins
Free spins are triggered by landing three scatters on the middle reels, awarding 8 spins to start. During the feature, a colossal reel can appear on reels 1, 2, or 3, covering multiple positions and making it easier to land larger combinations.
You can also retrigger the feature through giant scatter symbols on the colossal reel, with the number of extra spins depending on how many positions the symbol covers. Free spins can go as high as 150 in total, and there’s also a chance to trigger the Hold’n Win feature directly from here with a large coin symbol.
Hold & Win
The Hold’n Win feature is triggered by landing six or more coins in the base game or via a large coin during free spins. Once active, coins lock in place, and the feature starts with three respins, resetting every time a new symbol lands.
The grid begins partially locked and opens up as you land unlock symbols, giving you more space to build values. Coins land with fixed amounts, which are collected and paid at the end.
What makes this feature a bit different is the train system. Vault symbols can trigger different train effects, such as adding extra values, boosting existing ones, or collecting everything on the screen. As you progress and unlock the full grid, the Golden Train can be triggered, which brings in the bigger prizes, including the top jackpots.

Theme & Design
Set in the old American West, Track n’ Gold follows a steam train theme, with the action taking place against a moving railway backdrop. The visuals are fairly simple, and while the animation adds some movement to the game, it may feel a little dated compared to more modern releases and, to be honest, make you feel a bit nauseous.
If you like the train-style setup but want something a bit more feature-driven, you can check out Money Train 3 and Money Train 4, both of which offer a more modern take on the theme with much stronger mechanics.
Pros
- Multiple bonus rounds to trigger
- Players can spin from as little as €0.10
Cons
- The animations make it hard to play without feeling sick
- Old-style features that were popular years ago
- Boring theme
Final Thoughts
For a start, I'm not sure what the animations are about, but they are a complete nightmare for me and made the game unplayable almost from the off. Couple that with a very dated feature set, and this has to go down as one of the worst slots I've encountered in a very long time.
Terrible
- Game Types:
- Western Slots
- High Volatility Slots
- Hold & Win
