Slot Overview
Tikitopia BoosterBelt is a new Aloha Gaming release, and if you haven’t heard of this studio before, it’s yet another new Hacksaw Gaming partner. The game’s played on a 5×4 setup with 1,024 ways to win, and you’ll find cascading symbols, persistent multipliers, free spins, several bonus buy options, and a maximum win potential of up to 15,000x. On paper, it sounds decent enough, but how did it live up to Demoslot testing? Let’s find out.
Gameplay & Bonus Features
Tikitopia BoosterBelt is played on a 5×4 reel grid with 1,024 ways to win, so there are no paylines to watch out for! The game offers a decent RTP of 96.41%, and you can bet from €0.10 to €50 per spin. Each winning combo triggers a cascade, removing symbols and allowing new ones to drop down to take their place.
The slot’s main mechanic is the BoosterBelt, which forms the top row and first reel in a counter-clockwise loop leading into the Big’Um Tiki Totem. Whenever you land a win on the reels, the totem consumes the symbol that’s currently sat above its jaw, and if the symbol is eaten, this is where the action kicks off.
If the totem eats a premium fruit for the first time, that fruit gains a starting multiplier of 2x. Each time the same fruit is consumed, its multiplier increases by +1, and if the totem eats a low-paying symbol instead, all copies of that symbol are removed from the reels and BoosterBelt for the rest of the round. You’ll also see chilli symbols which act as power-ups. Depending on which chilli you land, they can boost all active fruit multipliers by +5, +10, or +25.
The game’s free spins bonus is triggered by landing 3 or 4 scatters on reels 2-5, and doing so awards 10 or 20 free games, respectively. During the bonus, the multiplier and fruits removed do not reset between spins, like in the base game. You can also land Extra Spin symbols on the BoosterBelt. If the totem eats one, you receive +3 spins.
Bonus Buy
Tikitopia BoosterBelt includes a few Bonus Buy / FeatureSpins options. You can buy 10 Tiki Beach Party spins for 50x, Nothing But Fruit for 150x (with all low-value symbols removed), and The BIG Kahuna for 250x, which awards 20 spins with all low-value symbols removed.

Theme & Design
Tikitopia BoosterBelt goes for a tropical cartoon world full of fruit, island-like imagery, and, generally, tropical vibes, but, as is so often the case with Hacksaw Gaming and its partner studio’s games, the theme sounds better than it is.
The overall look, for us, gives off a low-budget 3D animation kind of vibe rather than the polished video slot look many players are, today, looking for. It just all feels a bit cheap in our opinion.
There’s really nothing happening in the backdrop, and, aside from a blue sky and two half-appearing trees, there’s nothing visual at all! If you’re used to games like Tropical Tiki or Tropical Bonanza, for example, don’t expect the same levels of visual quality here!
Pros
- BoosterBelt mechanic works quite well
- Win up to 15,000x your bet
- Symbol removal and multipliers work well together
Cons
- The overall presentation is poor
- Base game payouts are low without multipliers
- Top Bonus Buy options is expensive at 250x
Final Thoughts
Tikitopia BoosterBelt looks like a slot with much better ideas than presentation. That’s really a shame, because this is a game we really want to like, but just can’t; the graphics are lame, there’s nothing to get excited about visually, and Aloha Gaming has really dropped the ball here.
What’s bizarre is that they have done an excellent job with the mechanic. The BoosterBelt is genuinely quite exciting, and we’re always fans of symbol removal-based bonuses. The maximum win potential of 15,000x is solid, too, but, unfortunately, it just looks and feels too basic.
We say this with kindness; as a new studio, Aloha Gaming could well be on a path to success if they continue to innovate like this, but they’re going to have to do better in the design department; aside from that, it’s a decent little game, but, unfortunately, the visuals just let it down too much.
