Theme & Design

Wizard of Oz-themed video slots have been some of the most successful releases in history. Ruby Slippers, from WMS, for example, became a hit classic both on and offline, and other entries have done equally as well, too.

While the licensed theme has been restricted to Light & Wonder and its subsidiaries, we’ve also seen other game studios producing titles of their own, like Wizard of Oink and The Pig Wizard, both unique and worth checking out if you haven’t played them before!

The Wizard of Oz I’ll Get You My Pretty, however, is about as theme-specific as it gets, and it’s refreshing to see Light & Wonder pushing out a spin-off to their subsidiary studio, WMS’, old classics. The game looks superb, and the reels are set inside a creepy graveyard with the witch’s castle visible directly above.

The colour scheme is superb, and you’ll see a rich selection of purples, greens, and blacks, and the atmosphere is set perfectly, in our opinion. At the top of the screen, you’ll also see the game’s five fixed jackpots; more on these later.

The Wizard of Oz I’ll Get You My Pretty is played on a 5-reel grid with four rows and 25 fixed paylines. You can bet anywhere from €0.20 to €500.00 per spin, and the game boasts a bang-on-average RTP of 96%.

There’s quite a comprehensive set of features in The Wizard of Oz I’ll Get You My Pretty, and in the base game, random reel modifiers can trigger on any spin. Columns can randomly sync, landing the same symbol in every position. Random positions can also be replaced with high value symbols or Scatters. 

The Witch Feature is another randomly-triggering base game feature. When activated, a random number of reels are transformed into “Tall Wilds” – wild reels, in other worlds.

The main Hold & Spin Feature is triggered when five or more scattered orb symbols land, awarding three respins. These orbs can include Purple Orbs and character orbs for Dorothy, Tin Man, Scarecrow, Lion, and Glinda. All orbs are locked in place during the feature, and any new orb resets the respin counter back to three.

Each character orb has a unique role: Scarecrow can add or increase orb values, Tin Man boosts a target orb, Dorothy collects all values in view, and the Lion applies multipliers at the end of the feature. Orbs can also land one of the game’s fixed jackpots; if they do, you win that jackpot value.

Buy Pass

The Wizard of Oz I’ll Get You My Pretty contains a bonus buy mechanic, known as Buy Pass. This allows you to buy instant entry into the Hold & Spin feature for 50x, with five guaranteed orbs.
