Slot Overview
Superstar Sevens is a retro-inspired video slot from Hacksaw Gaming, and the slot combines classic fruit-and-sevens visuals with modern Super Cascades, Multipliers, Cluster Pays, and multiple Bonus Rounds. With a maximum win potential of 10,000x, it’s not the most explosive game ever in terms of potential, but is it any good? Is it worth playing? Let’s find out.
Design & Theme
Superstar Sevens leans heavily into classic casino imagery, and you’ll see bold fruit symbols, chunky sevens, dice, and crowns set against a deliberately plain background. Yes, it’s not the most visually impressive-looking slot in the world, but… it kind of works.
The game’s animations are kept pretty simple, but again, it kind of works, visually, at least. If you enjoy the retro-like style of slots like Fruit Party and Pray for Six, then Superstar Sevens may well appeal to you!

Superstar Sevens Gameplay & Bonus Features
Superstar Sevens uses a 6-reel, 5-row layout with a Cluster Pays system. This means wins are formed by landing 5 or more matching symbols anywhere on the grid. You can bet from €0.10 to €100 per spin, and the slot is available in four RTP versions, with the highest set at 96.37%.
Now, at the heart of Superstar Sevens is Super Cascades, and these remove not only the winning symbols but also all matching symbols involved in that win across the reels. New symbols then cascade down, with further wins triggering additional cascades.
You’ll also see the Cascade Counter above the reels, and this is activated when a Lightning symbol lands on a spin that also produces a win. When active, non-winning symbols removed by cascades are collected and converted into an additive multiplier. Low-paying symbols add +1, while high-paying symbols add +2 to the Total Win Bar. Once cascades end, the accumulated multiplier is applied to the final win. Plus, if an Epic Lightning symbol appears and there is already a win stored in the Total Win Bar, an additional multiplier of up to 100x is applied!
Superstar Sevens contains three Free Spins Bonuses. Reel Charge is triggered by landing 3 scatters, awarding 10 free spins with an increased chance of Lightning and Epic Lightning symbols. Lucky Strike activates with 4 scatters, also awarding 10 free spins, but guarantees a Lightning symbol on every spin.
There’s also a Hidden Epic Bonus, Juicy Joltz, triggered by 5 scatters and again starts with 10 free spins. This mode keeps Lucky Strike’s mechanics but makes the Total Win Bar progressive across the entire feature, paying out the accumulated value only at the end of the round.
Pros
- Pretty unique Super Cascades mechanic.
- Three different Free Spins bonuses.
- Win up to 10,000x your bet.
Cons
- Retro theme won’t appeal to everyone.
- Some very low RTP versions are available.
- Hidden Epic Bonus is virtually impossible to land naturally.
Superstar Sevens Slot Review Final Thoughts
Superstar Sevens is a slot that looks deceptively simple, but it actually has quite a decent amount of depth as you play it more. Yes, as you may have noticed, we have our grievances about Hacksaw Gaming here at Demoslot, but this is one of their better releases, in our opinion.
Sure, the maximum win potential of 10,000x isn’t the highest, but it’s in line with most Hacksaw releases today, and if you can look past the retro/dated theme, this is a slot you may want to consider playing!
One word of warning, however: the game can be offered in RTP configurations as low as 86.21%, so always ensure you’re playing the highest RTP config possible. It’s not for everyone, but there are a lot of decent mechanics, and this may be one of the first Hacksaw Gaming releases in a while. We may consider checking it out ourselves once it’s released!
