Star Bounty Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
Star Bounty takes us upon an intergalactic journey as we head deep into space and a futuristic world. The reels of the game are set upon a background of a new aged city as spacecraft fly by in the distance, whilst the soundtrack to the slot could easily have you believing that you’re in your very own sci fi movie.
The paytable is set into 3 sections on Star bounty, with the lower paying symbols being made up of the classic royals jack through to the ace. The mid section comprises of space symbols which are coloured blue, green, purple and red. Finally the premium paying symbols consist of a blue alien, green alien, spacewoman and spaceman, with 6 of a kind wins paying 5x, 5x, 10x and 15x respectively.
Donning your space outfit and spinning the reels on Star Bounty can cost as little as €0.10, with the maximum stake on the slot reaching €100 a play. As always with Pragmatic slots there are an abundance of betting options available to play at, with a total of 10 stakes on offer ranging from €2 down to the minimum bet.
Star Bounty Cascading Reels
Whilst Pragmatic Play refer to it as the tumble feature, most players will be familiar with it as the cascading reels feature, and be happy to see that it is present in Star Bounty. This in-game action is excellent for helping to build additional wins from your initial spin, and this is how.
Each time that you make a winning connection of symbols, they will explode and be removed from the reels. This will of course leave behind spaces, and new symbols will then drop from above to fill them. This will continue to take place as long as winning combos are being made. Once it is no longer possible for a win to be formed, that series of spins will end and a new spin will need to be initiated.
Star Bounty Missile Feature
The missile feature on Star Bounty is something that can take place in both the base game and the free spin bonus, although they do slightly differ from one another. When the missile wild symbol lands anywhere in view during base game play, it will fire out a random amount of missiles that will hit various locations on the reels. Once they have exploded they will then turn into wild symbols and give you additional chances to make extra wins.
Star Bounty Free Spin Feature
The free spin bonus is triggered on Star Bounty when 3 or more of the free spin scatter symbols land anywhere in view. Once the bonus has been initiated you will then be taken to a new screen where you are given a chance to add more spins to your total.
Your chance to win extra spins comes in the shape of a respin bonus. The initial symbols that triggered the bonus will remain in place on the reels, whilst all other positions will remain blank. As the reels begin to spin you will notice that there are only blank spaces on them and the free spin symbol.
For each free spin symbol that lands you will be awarded 1 extra spin, which will be added to your running total to the left hand side of the reels. If a scatter does land then you will also be awarded with another respin, but once you hit a spin where no further scatters are added, the respin bonus will end and the free spin feature will begin.
After the free spin feature gets under way, it’s all about landing the missile wild symbol anywhere in view. Unlike in the base game, when this appears in the free spin feature the wilds that it creates can hold a value of up to a x3 multiplier. So if you’re lucky enough to land a good amount of these wilds, then it can lead to a substantial multiple of your stake being returned.
Star Bounty Slot Review Final Thoughts
This is going to sound a bit random, and mainly because I’m from the UK. But my first thought when I saw this game was the classic quiz show Blockbusters. I guess if you’re also from the UK then you will understand why it reminded me of that show.
So, now that’s out the way what about the game itself. As always Pragmatic Play have made a fantastic job when it comes to the audio and visuals of Star Bounty, with the team who is responsible for this area of the game showing why they are among the best in the business.
I managed to get plenty of bonuses whilst playing, and they tended to range from 20x up to about 200x, so nothing too big, but they were plentiful so no complaints on that front. The wild multipliers are undoubtably where the action and potential can happen in this slot, so keep an eye out for them if you do decide to give this one a go.
