Game Overview
When you think about it, there sure are some strange individuals out there who begin with what seems to be a small obsession, which then spirals out of control into full-blown stalking. Would this make for a good slot theme? It would appear so, as AvatarUX are ready to present us with SpinXiety, a 6-reel game with up to 46,656 ways to win and a maximum win that hits 20,000x the bet.
Theme & Design
In the game sheet for SpinXiety, AvatarUX tells us that with every spin, every message, he’s watching. Sure does sound like a very strange guy, and when the game loads up and hits your screen, you’ll see AvatarUX’s version of this stalker all over the reels in different disguises, with the symbol where he’s holding the needle probably being the one you need to worry about the most.
From the theme to the design of the game, this is probably not what you’re used to from AvatarUX, but we do like the fact they have thought outside of the box with SpinXiety, and it’s good to see the studio expanding further on their portfolio and not just relying on the PopWins mechanic.
If it turns out that SpinXiety’s weirdo hasn’t done enough to put you off slots for the day and you want to interact with more strange iGaming characters, then look no further than Nolimit City, who have Loner and Serial on their books, two very different slots, but both featuring individuals you’d rather steer clear of.

SpinXiety Gameplay & Features
AvatarUX’s SpinXierty is a 6-reel, 3-row slot with 729 ways to win, which can expand up to 4,096 during the gameplay. The slot also features RTP ranges from highs of 95.97% to lows of 90.49%, along with staking options that start at a minimum of €0.10 a spin, reaching up to a maximum of €300.
It’s time to talk features, and let’s begin with the Creeping Wilds. These can land on reels 2, 3, and 4 and will always land at the bottom of the reel. If they are involved in a win, they will stick in place, and a free respin will be awarded (up to a max of 3). At the beginning of each spin, there is a chance that the wild can expand in size by 1 row and/or receive a multiplier increase of +x1.
During the respins, or any standard spin, bonus symbols can be collected, with 3, 4, 5, or 6 scatter symbols awarding 5, 6, 7, or 8 free spins. Once activated, the free spins don’t seem to differ too much from the base game. However, on any spin the Door Knock modifier can trigger, multiplying the multipliers of existing wilds by x2 or x3, and on the last spin of the bonus, if the Go Away symbol appears anywhere on the board, the max win of 20,000x will be awarded.
Bonus Buy
For those wishing to play with more of a risk, the following enhanced betting options are available:
- Ante Bet: Double the chance of landing a bonus round – Costs 1.5x the base bet.
- Head Start: At least 1 wild will land per spin – Costs 5x the base bet.
- 5 Free Spins: Costs 75x the bet.
- 8 Free Spins with a higher chance of landing wilds – Costs 300x the bet.
Pros
- A more adult-themed slot game.
- High max win of 20,000x.
- Creeping wilds can help produce big wins.
Cons
- RTP can reach as low as 90.49%.
- It can feel a bit boring when the wilds don't increase in multiplier value.
- The theme won't appeal to all players.
SpinXiety Slot Review Final Thoughts
We always praise AvatarUX for trying out new styles of games and moving away from PopWins, but whilst SpinXiety is unique with its theme and the Creeping Wilds do offer some win potential, I'm just not sure if this is a title players are going to get excited about. I guess time will tell.
