Game Overview

I initially expected this Spin Warrior online slot to be a product of Relax Gaming; however, on this occasion, Relax is just acting as a publisher for a smaller studio known as Boomerang. You have to come up with something pretty special to impress the big boys enough that they will publish and distribute your creations, so let’s give Boomerang a huge high five for this one – you’re in the major league now, my friends! Boomerang’s Spin Warrior slot game is a 243-way machine with a standard RTP of 95.86%, whilst the Side Strike option (essentially a bonus buy function) boasts an impressive 97.96% RTP if played exclusively.

Features, well, there’s a huge gong which acts as a wild and can gain additional capabilities by hitting specific combinations during play. A handful of special coin symbols work alongside a collect icon to award extra prizes as well as the normal payline wins, and a “Boom Pot” feature allows you to build a stash of extra cash by taking 10% out of every win you hit and building up a big prize for you to yearn for as the time goes playing Spin Warrior online slot. A hold and re-spin bonus is included in place of a free spin-based bonus, whilst the side strike option is a massive feature. However, many players will not be able to try it due to over-zealous licensing restrictions imposed over the past 18 months.

This is another game you should play – luckily for you, our free demo slot of Spin Warrior is only one click away!

Spin Warrior Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols

Paytable For Spin Warrior Slot

As for the theme… this is going to be tricky. Let us start with addressing the multiple subtitles shown during the loading phase, such as “Boom Pot” and the “Lightning Chase” moniker shown underneath the game’s name in the top right corner of the display. I decided not to list a subtitle in the title for this game as I have no idea if one, both, or neither need to be credited. If you work for any of these software houses, please do drop us a note if you want it to be corrected!

Oh yes, the theme! The truth is, I have no idea. We have a bunch of “warrior” animals such as a bear with nunchucks (2.5x for five-of-a-kind), a tiger who… maybe uses three fingers as his weapon? (2x for all five), a pig who is so fat he can’t pick up his weapon so has to resort to barging you before starting to eat your feet, and, finally, a crocodile. I’d be impressed if that guy was able to hold a weapon but come on, let’s be honest – that crocodile didn’t get fat by being incompetent. That guy will bite you, drag you into the water, and eat you alive. You’d think he could throw you a bit more than 1.25x your stake for such diSGusting behaviour, but he doesn’t care what we think. Bottom line – nothing exciting to see on that paytable in terms of straight returns, but Boomerang have wisely stacked all symbols on every reel. With 243 payways, the size of your winnings from even a half-full screen of matching symbols will impress you more than you would think, considering those low payoffs you’ve seen on the paytable.

If you can’t spot the bet selection options, look at the icon strip on the left-hand side of the reels, and you will notice a stack of coins at the very bottom of the pile. Hit this button, and an overlay will appear with options ranging from €0.20 per spin up to a chunky €80.00 for those with more cash than brains.

Base Game & Modifiers

Play With 5 Reels, 243 Paylines, And Win Up To 2,757x Your Bet In Spin Warrior Online Slot From Provider Boomerang Studios

The base game action takes place on a standard 5×3 playfield, and as this is a 243-way game, there are no paylines to worry about. All you need to do is catch matching symbols on each reel from left to right on adjacent reels to score a win, and with stacks of symbols on every reel, I won roughly one in every five spins.

Coins & Collector Modifier

Coin symbols can appear randomly on reels one, two, and three during regular play and reel four during the hold and re-spin bonus. Each coin can award a prize between 0.5x and 25x the total bet, but you will only receive these prizes when a “collect” symbol appears above each of your coins.

Boom Pot Feature

The “Boom Pot” resets to 50x your current stake at the beginning of your session, but if you do not manage to win it on a particular day, it will be saved until you play the game again. The Boom Pot will grow each time you win via the Coins & Collect Modifier.

To win the boom pot prize, you must land a full screen of coins during the Hold & Re-Spin feature. It sounds difficult, but don’t worry; this is not a Lightning Link style Hold & Re-Spin where nobody ever hits all 15 coins to win the grand jackpot… I even collected a boom pot myself once while testing this slot for the review!

Spin Warrior Slot Free Spins Feature

Triggering bonus rounds in the Spin Warrior video slot requires some unique lucky combinations, unlike the simple scatter-based trigger you will see in so many other online slots. Let’s take a look at the two main bonus features:

Hold & Respin Feature

To trigger this one, you must hit three COLLECT symbols during regular play. Erm… what was I saying? If you consider COLLECT to be a scatter, I guess this is not so unique after all, but it sure doesn’t feel like a regular triggering mechanism to me!

You begin the bonus with three spins, and your counter will reset to three each time an additional coin symbol lands on the screen. Each coin can be worth between 0.5x and 25x your stake, just as in the Coins & Collect modifier, and the bonus will end if you either fill the whole screen or run out of free spins.

Side Strike Feature

Such a shame this one is restricted. You’ll be asked to select your preferred chip colour before the round starts, after which you will notice that some symbols have a casino chip shown in the corner of their spot. The more times your chip appears in a higher quantity than the other, the higher your win multiplier will be.

It’s very similar to just playing the base game as far as I can see, so I’m not sure why the UKGC considers this option a bonus buy – it sure isn’t what I would call it. Nevertheless, wins come thick and fast in this mode, and despite the high cost, I reckon I would play this way if I could. The RTP is 2% higher – a dramatic difference in casino terms – and you win much more often. Who could resist a feature like that?

Spin Warrior Slot Review Final Thoughts

I’m genuinely shocked by the amount of time I have spent writing this review – well, you know, writing and playing the game endlessly too! You have to try this one – it’s a winner!
