Game Overview
Do you remember the days of the classic family TV game show? Members of the public would step up to join a charismatic host on stage and try their luck at winning a range of fantastic prizes. Well, today, I was hit with a wave of nostalgia when I loaded up the Playtech slot I’m about to review, as it whisked me straight back to the glory days of tuning into these amazing shows on a Saturday night, and what a time it was to be alive. It’s titled Spin ‘Em Round, and it’s a 5-reel, 5-row slot with an RTP of 95.47% and a potential maximum win of 5,000x.
Contestants taking part in these gameshows would often need to partake in relatively simple tasks in order to take home the goods, such as answering questions, throwing darts, or spinning lucky wheels, and there are three huge prize wheels to play with on this game. They can all be seen spinning away above the game’s 5×5 grid, which depicts images of the types of prizes to be won, such as a briefcase full of cash, a shiny sports car, and a sleek jet ski. Standard wins are achieved by matching three or more symbols from left to right across any of the 3,125 active payways. However, the real action begins once you land bonus wheel symbols in conjunction with the scatter symbol, triggering the bonus round.
So, what are you waiting for? Come on down and try your luck! There’s no danger of being sent home red-faced with the consolation prize and a sympathetic clap from a disappointed audience on the Spin ‘Em Round! demo slot. It’s available here, and It’s free to play below!
Spin ’em Round Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
As with anything in life, things move on, with the gameshows of the past giving way to the new. One of the most popular in recent times has been the fantastic Deal or No Deal, and Blueprint Gaming was keen to capitalise on its popularity by making a series of slots inspired by the show. One of the best is Deal or No Deal Megaways, a high volatility slot with a maximum win of 10,000x. In its bonus round, you’ll need to pick your box wisely, as it could greatly affect the number of spins and the value of the multiplier you begin with. If you’re just here for the big bucks and want something with a bit more top-end potential, how about Millionaire Megaways? which has a much larger top win of 50,000x. Let’s get back to today’s instalment, and up next, we’ll take a deeper look into the features of Spin ‘Em Round! Starting over at that all important pays section.
The top symbol on Spin ‘Em Round! is the Purple Sports Car, which will return 5x your bet for a winning combination of five. Next, it’s the Boat Painting at 3x, followed by the Jet Ski at 2x, whilst the lowest value premium offering is the Suitcase of Cash at 1.5x. The lower value symbols are represented by the royals, with the Ace and King both returning 1x for a full line of five, whilst the Queen and Jack share equal payouts of 0.25x.
Finishing up this section, we come to the stake options on Spin ‘Em Round! These range from a minimum of €0.20 to a maximum of €300.00. Players will find plenty of suitable options within these two values, with Playtech ensuring low, medium, and high rollers are all well catered for in real money play.
Spin ’em Round Slot Base Game
The game mechanic utilised in Spin ‘Em Round! is the popular payways format, meaning all that is required to achieve a win is to match a minimum of three corresponding symbols from left to right, commencing on the leftmost reel, regardless of their row positions.
Spin ’em Round Slot Bonus Features
Three types of bonus symbols appear on the reels, and they can land in any grid position. These are the red, green, and blue bonus symbols, and each one that lands will award one arrow position on the Standard Wheel, Mega Wheel, and Multiplier Wheel, respectively. A minimum of one of these symbols must land in conjunction with the wheel scatter symbol during the same spin to trigger the feature, and up to eight of each coloured bonus symbol can land, awarding the corresponding number of arrow positions on each wheel.
Bonus Wheels
On the feature screen, the wheels activated in the trigger will be lit up, as well as the relevant number of arrow positions. The wheel/s will then spin, and whichever value the arrow/s stops on will be awarded. If the multiplier wheel has been activated, then it will multiply the total win amount by the value/s it stops on. The top prize available on the cash wheels is 200x, whilst the highest multiplier value is x10.
Pros
- Classic, fun theme.
- Payways instead of lines.
- The bonus often triggers easily.
Cons
- Lack of features.
- Bonuses are usually low value.
Spin 'em Round Slot Review Final Thoughts
I’ve had a lot of fun testing Spin ‘Em Round! It’s a very simple game with minimal features, but in some ways, I think that is part of its charm, and it offers something a bit different to many modern slots with all their bells and whistles. The bonus feature triggered regularly based on my experience during testing, and although they were often small value bonuses, there clearly is some degree of potential there, considering you can win up to eight values from each wheel, which also includes the multiplier wheel. It won’t be for everyone, but I think many people looking for a more retro-style experience will enjoy it.
