Pros
- The map feature is fun and offers the chance to win 10,000x and the wild free spins.
- A free spins bonus can also be triggered.
- High RTP of 96.73%.
- Includes a bonus buy and enhanced bet option.
Cons
- Requires extended gameplay due to the map feature, which may not suit all players.
- Whilst that 10k square looks attractive, how often anyone will land on it is another question.
Shamrock Quest Slot Review Final Thoughts
It didn't take many spins on Shamrock Quest before a few wilds landed and formed a win, which took me to the map section of the game. Here, I was welcomed by different coloured positions, with each wild I achieved in the win, moving me one place around these on the map. Whilst it is possible for the game to add random multipliers to the map, the main colours you hope to land on are the yellow dot, worth 10,000x, and the red dot, which is much more likely and triggers the wild free games bonus.
During this bonus, any wild symbol that lands in view will expand to cover the entirety of the reel, and I hit quite a few big wins from this. That's not all, though, as Shamrock Quest also has a free spins bonus round triggered by landing three scatters. When this feature is activated, the lock wins mechanic triggers, meaning all winning combos are locked in place for the duration of the bonus. This is an equally good feature, but more often than not, you'll find it's the lowest-paying symbol which is locked in.
To say I was pleasantly surprised by Shamrock Quest is an understatement. The gameplay is fun; both features have the potential to pay, and if you do have the luck of the Irish on your side, then you might just find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and land on that 10,000 circle.
