Game Overview
Santa’s Vault is a Christmas-inspired video slot from Push Gaming that offers up a simplistic 3×3 layout, four non-progressive jackpots, some volatile action, and a maximum win potential of up to 8,118x. Is it any good? Let’s find out!
Theme & Design
Forget cosy fireplaces and snowy villages, because Santa’s Vault does away with a North Pole-themed Xmas, instead replacing it with a fairly simple golden treasure chamber which is guarded by what looks to be quite a smug-looking Santa Claus!
Visually, it’s far from the most impressive-looking game we’ve ever seen, but it is, at least, well-polished, and it retains Push Gaming’s signature look and feel that we’ve come to expect. Still, if you’re looking for truly exciting Christmas-themed slots, there are many better options in our opinion, like Christmas Megaways and Gates of Olympus X-Mas 1000.

Santa’s Vault Gameplay & Bonus Features
At first glance, Santa’s Vault looks pretty basic, and it’s true that it’s not the most complex game in the world. The action unfolds on a 3×3 grid, and there are just 50 fixed paylines in play at all times. You can bet between €0.10 and €100 per spin, and the game offers an RTP of 96.37%.
The game’s core action begins when special symbols land. On reels 1 and 3, Instant Win symbols can land. These display values of between 1x and 25x. Jackpot symbols can also land on reels 1 and 3, displaying one of four jackpot prizes:
- Mini: 15x
- Minor: 50x
- Mega: 100x
- Grand: 500x
Now, to win either the Instant Win or Jackpot symbols, you need to land a Collector symbol on the 2nd reel. When it lands, it gathers all visible Instant Win and Jackpot symbols. It’s also possible to land more than one Collector per spin, meaning you can be paid out more than once.
Each time you collect a Prize or Jackpot symbol, a “trail of stars” shoots out from it and adds to the Vault which sits above the reels. Every time this happens, there is a chance of the Vault Burst feature triggering. Once activated, the main Bonus Game is triggered.
You start with 3 spins, which reset whenever a new Instant Win or Collector symbol lands. During the feature, an additional Enhancer Reel appears above the grid. This reel can display two types of special symbols:
- Multiplier Symbols: These are worth 2x, 3x, and 5x, and they multiply your total win, or the specific value below.
- Addition Symbols: These can display values of +1, +2, +5, +10, +25, +50, or +100. When an Addition symbol lands on reels 1 & 3, the Instant Win symbols on the reels below are increased by the Addition symbol before being collected.
The bonus round continues until no new symbols land for three consecutive spins, at which point all collected values are awarded, and you return to the base game.
Pros
- Simple 3x3 layout with a Christmas theme.
- Collector mechanic in both the base game and main bonus round.
- Unique Enhancer Reels feature.
Cons
- Pretty boring game compared to most Push Gaming releases.
- Max win potential isn’t the highest.
- 3x3 layout won’t suit every player.
Santa's Vault Slot Review Final Thoughts
Santa’s Vault shows that Push Gaming continues to experiment with different slot layouts, and while it’s true that they’ve managed to do something small-scale here, we can’t help but feel it just doesn't really work. Sure, the 3x3 format makes it accessible to casual players, but in this day and age, where most players want bigger and better, it just feels a little...underwhelming.
Sure, the Collector and Enhancer Reels mechanics add some excitement, but there’s really nothing we haven’t seen before here, and there’s nothing close to the levels of innovation we see in other Push Gaming releases like Razor Returns and Big Bamboo.
So, if you’re looking for a Christmas-inspired slot, we’d say there are plenty of better options. If, however, you’re a die-hard Push Gaming fan and want to see what they’ve got to offer this festive season, Santa’s Vault is OK: just don’t expect anything unique or even that exciting.
