Theme & Design

Sails of Riches leans into a classic pirate fantasy, with worn-out treasure maps, gold coins, chests, and nautical-themed icons forming the core symbol set. The game looks good, as is the case with virtually all Play’n Go slots, and in the background you can make out pirate ships and darkly lit rocks.

Interestingly, Sails of Riches shares some similarities with other Play’n Go slots, like Rise of Merlin and Legacy of Dead, in terms of how the symbols actually look and how the background graphics are designed. 

Sails of Riches Gameplay & Bonus Features

Sails of Riches uses a 6-reel layout with 4,096 ways to win. The game pays from left to right. Stakes range from €0.10 up to €100 per spin, and the game’s RTP is, by default, 96.20%. However, like all Play’n Go releases, lower RTP configurations are available.

While not a feature, per se, it’s worth keeping an eye out for the Wilds. When they land, they display a multiplier of 1x, 2x, or 3x, and this is then applied to any wins it helps form.

The Free Spins feature is triggered by landing three or more Treasure Chest Scatter symbols anywhere in view. Depending on how many Scatters appear, you’ll receive between 10 and 30 free spins. During the bonus, a win multiplier of 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x is awarded to begin, and each time a Wild symbol lands, the multiplier increases by +1, +2, or +3.

If you land Coin Scatter symbols, you’ll trigger a Respin feature, where only Coin Scatters can appear. Respins continue as long as new Coin Scatters land. If you manage to fill the screen with Coin Scatters, you win a fixed 500x jackpot. Each time new coins land, your respin counter resets, and this process continues until you either fill the screen or fail to land any new coins. 

Plus, if six Coin Scatters are collected, the Vitality Lock feature activates, offering jackpot-style prizes ranging from 20x (Mini) up to 1,000x (Grand).
