Slot Overview
Royal Beellion Hold & Win is a new release from BGaming, and this medium-variance bee-themed slot combines a classic Hold & Win bonus round, pre-bonus multipliers, progressive mystery symbols, four fixed jackpots, and a maximum win potential of up to 5,000x, so it looks OK, but BGaming has been pushing out a lot of Hold & Win releases lately, so does this do anything different to warrant being played? Let’s find out.
Gameplay & Bonus Features
Royal Beellion Hold & Win is played on a 5-reel layout with a customisable lines choice mechanic, where you can choose between 20, 40, 60, 80 or 100 active paylines. If you play with more lines active, your bet size increases, so stake options can vary quite a lot. The game offers a well above-average RTP of 97%, too.
The base game is fairly straightforward, with expanding wilds landing on reels 2, 3 and 4, and when they do, they expand, funnily enough, to cover the entire reel, but they only expand when they form part of a win.
The game’s core bonus is the Hold & Win feature, triggered by landing 6 or more Bee symbols anywhere in view. Now, at the start of the bonus, three multipliers of x2, x3, x4 and x5 are placed on random grid positions. Any bee symbol that lands on one of these spots then has its value boosted accordingly. The feature starts with 3 respins, with each new bee symbol that lands resetting the counter back to 3, just like a typical respin feature. The round continues until the grid fills, or until the remaining respins counter runs out.
Now, things start to get more interesting once you collect 10, 15 or 20 bee symbols during the bonus. When you reach each of these milestones, the last landed symbol becomes a progressive mystery symbol. This sees it transforming into one of several outcomes: a standard bee symbol, a bee with an increased value; one of four fixed prizes (Mini, worth 10x, Minor, worth 25x, Major, worth 100x, and the Grand, worth 500x), a Collect symbol, or a multiplier of x2 or x3 applied to all bee symbols on the reels.
Bonus Buy
Royal Beellion Hold & Win includes two Buy Bonus options if you live in a region where they’re allowed. You can activate the Chance x2 feature to improve your odds of landing the bonus round naturally or, alternatively, buy directly into the Hold & Win bonus game itself.

Theme & Design
Royal Beellion Hold & Win is built around a classic bee/honey theme, and visually, BGaming has done a genuinely decent job here, we feel. The reels are placed in front of a honeycomb-like design, and the overall vibe feels warm, and something you’d find inside a land-based casino cabinet!
The symbols are a mix of classic fruit icons alongside the golden bee symbols that drive the game’s core mechanic, and there’s a soft rock-like soundtrack – which adds to the game’s personality and works fairly well. If you enjoyed other similarly themed games like Bee Keeper or Bee Hive Bonanza, Royal Beellion Hold & Win will probably appeal to you!
Pros
- Solid RTP of 97%
- Pre-bonus multipliers are pretty exciting
- Progressive Multiplier symbol can lead to some decent wins
Cons
- Disappointing maximum win potential of 5,000x
- Very familiar Hold & Win mechanic
- Base game can feel very quiet between bonuses
Final Thoughts
Royal Beellion Hold & Win is a decently made, well-polished Hold & Win release that does exactly what you'd expect, and we think it’s also fair to say that it does nothing more and nothing less; it’s literally what you probably picture when you think of this type of game.
Now, yes, the 97% RTP is solid, above-average, and in keeping with pretty much all releases we see from BGaming today, and we also like the fact that there’s a decent little feature stack going on, with Progressive Mystery symbols really adding to the excitement.
Unfortunately, the 5,000x maximum win potential feels quite low, especially for a slot with so much going on. In 2026, this probably won’t cut it for most players, especially since the game is marketed as being high variance. Still, it’s a nice little game, and if you don’t mind a slightly lower max win limit, it’s worth checking out.
