Game Overview
iGaming studio AskMeSlot are back with another release in the form of Roma Kingdom, and this time, you’ll be stepping into the heart of a Roman Colosseum as you battle it out against the “Mighty” golden lion. (Yes, that really is a spelling mistake in the splash loading screen of their game; we assume they meant mighty. With a maximum win potential of up to 25,000x, is the game any good? Find out in this detailed slot review.
Theme & Design
AskMeSlot is one of the newest online gambling providers to enter the market. While they actually launched operations back in the mid-2010s, it wasn’t until the early 2020s that they began releasing their own online video slots, and so far (including Roma Kingdom), they’ve produced eight titles. None of them have proven to be major successes, but a couple of titles like Neko Reborn and Mafia Ways are worth a look if you’re wanting something new to try.
Now, Roma Kingdom is actually quite impressively designed, and the reels are positioned right in the heat of a Colosseum. The background graphics are superb, and there’s a fierce Pixar-style Roman warrior seen marching above the reels at all times.

Roma Kingdom Gameplay & Bonus Features
Roma Kingdom is played on a familiar-looking five-reel, three-row layout. There are 15 fixed paylines in play at all times. You can wager between €0.90 and €3,000 per spin, and the game boasts a well above-average RTP of 97.5%!
Roma Kingdom uses a cascading wins system, so any winning symbols disappear from the reels, and new ones drop down to take their place. There isn’t much to look out for in the base game, aside from a standard wild symbol.
It’s the first Bonus Game that offers up any real excitement, and this is triggered by landing three bonus symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5. Doing so takes you to a new screen where you’ll see a violent showdown between a Gladiator and a Lion, with the Gladiator starting with three lives. Each round reveals one of two possible actions. If the Gladiator attacks, a prize of between 3x and 5,000x can be randomly awards. If, on the other hand, the Lion attacks, you enjoy the same prizes, but the Gladiator loses one life.
You simply get to keep going until the Gladiator runs out of lives. At the end of each successful strike, winnings are boosted by a random special multiplier, too, which is worth x3, x5, x7, x10, or x15.
Roma Kingdom also contains a free spins bonus round that’s triggered by landing 4, 5, 6, or 7+ consecutive cascading wins from a single spin. These streaks award 4, 5, 10, or 20 free spins, respectively. During the free spins, a unique reel set is brought into play. Again, multipliers are brought into play. Each win you form is multiplied by a random value ranging from 3x to 100x, although it’s impossible to re-trigger additional spins.
Bonus Buy
For 100x your base game stake, you can buy instant entry into the free spins bonus round if you live in a jurisdiction that allows feature buys. You can also buy the main bonus game, again, for a cost of 100x your base game stake.
Pros
- Impressive 25,000x maximum win potential.
- High RTP of 97.50%.
- Plenty of random multipliers and two bonus rounds.
Cons
- Can’t re-trigger the free spins.
- Game can be hard to find at online casinos .
- Bonus buy option is not available in all regions.
Roma Kingdom Slot Review Final Thoughts
AskMeSlot is a pretty weird software provider. On one hand, they’re trying to enter one of the most competitive markets on earth, and clearly, they have money behind them and a solid team of professionals. On the other hand, they release games with clear spelling mistakes on the title screen.
This isn’t to criticise them, but it’s a shame, as we do see some decent levels of potential from the studio. Their games are actually quite enjoyable, and it’s clear that unlike a lot of new studios, they don’t simply re-hash/skin themes and genres we’ve seen thousands of times before.
Roma Kingdom, for example, introduces cascading wins, two bonus rounds, random multipliers, bonus buy options, and sure, none of it is totally unique, but the way AskMeSlot has presented it makes it feel like it is. There’s also the well above-average RTP of 97.5% and the maximum win potential of 25,000x, but we can’t help but feel it’ll just be a game that gets released and then gets swept up in the 100s of other releases this month. It’s definitely worth a spin if you get the chance, we’d say.
