Base Game & Modifiers
After stepping back in time to the Stone Age in Rock Vegas Mega Hold & Spin online slot, players will find the action of the game taking place over a 5×3 reel set, where 20 fixed paylines are in place. Wins will be credited to the playing balance when 3 or more matching symbols land on adjacent reels from the leftmost reel first, and on an active payline. Other than holding out for a 5 of a kind hit in the base game, the main action within the slot takes place in the bonus feature. So let’s get to it and see what that’s all about.
Rock Vegas Slot Free Spins Feature
The Mega Hold & Spin feature is triggered on Rock Vegas video slot when 3 or more of the bonus symbols land in view. Upon activation of the bonus, players will be taken to a new reel set that is now 10×10 in dimensions, where cash rocks coloured blue, green, gold, pink, and orange can land in view. Depending on how many scatters you triggered the feature with, will decide what symbols can land whilst playing. As highlighted below.
- 3 Scatters: All rocks are present in the feature
- 4 Scatters: Only the orange, pink, gold, and green rocks are present.
- 5 Scatters: Only the orange, pink, and gold rocks are present.
Regardless of the amount of scatters that the bonus was triggered with, you’ll start the feature with 3 respins. Each time that a new cash rock lands in view throughout the bonus, this respin total will be replenished back to 3. If players form clusters of 2×2 or 3×3 of the same symbol, then they will transform into a big rock of that type and a multiplier will be added to it. Rocks formed from 2×2 clusters can have a multiplier of between 5x – 10x applied to them, whilst a 3×3 cluster can have between 35x – 100x applied to them. Keep a look out for the fire animation too at the end of a losing spin too, this can add cash rocks to random positions on the reels.
Additional action in the bonus feature comes courtesy of the Key Collection Mini Game. Players will be able to move themselves along the key meter when special rocks containing key symbols land within the grid. Opening up the chests can reveal the following:
- One of the rocks will have its value multiplier by 0.5x – 500x.
- Random cash award between 10x – 500x will be awarded.
- Random number of keys between 4 – 10 will be added to the trail.
- Random generał multiplier between 2x – 100x will be awarded and applied to the winnings at the end of the bonus.
- The feature will be re-triggered.
If the end of the trail is reached, then a mystery multiplier between 2x – 100x will be awarded. This will then be applied to the general multiplier that has been collected so far. Players should note the the trail will then reset, with there being no limits as to how many times it can be completed.
Last up is the re-trigger in the bonus, which can be awarded via the treasure chests, or if the grid is completely filled with symbols. When a re-trigger is activated all wins will be collected and the grid will reset for the feature to begin again.
