Game Overview

With the emergence of Cryptocurrency and Meme Coins over the last few years, pretty much everybody you know has, at some point, dabbled in buying a bit, either hoping to make a quick profit or keep it long term for a rainy day. I mean, things have gotten so crazy that even the Hawk Tuah Girl had her own coin, and yeah, the less said about that, the better. Anyway, never an industry to miss out on a potential theme for a slot or casino game there have been various studios who have created iGaming content in this niche, and today it’s the turn of BGaming with Retro Trader, a low-volatile game with a high RTP of 99%, and a max win of 100x.

The action comes thick and fast in Retro Trader, but the game itself is very simple to play. You select your stake, choose whether you think the market will go up or down, and after 7 seconds of watching the graph, you either win or lose a percentage of your bet depending on which outcome you backed.

Does this sound like the style of casino game that interests you? Well, to help you make up your mind, we have a free Retro Trader demo for you to play. And, to help you perfect your strategy, it comes with an unlimited bankroll.

Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols

BGaming’s Retro Trader

In the introduction, I spoke about other iGaming studios creating crypto or market-themed casino games/slots, but in all honesty, there isn’t much to tell you about, leaving this a relatively untapped genre to date. Yes, you could categorise Retro Trader as a Crash Game, but it doesn’t quite fall into that bracket due to its gameplay. Anyway, if you do want to try a couple of games out with this type of theme, PG Soft’s Crypto Gold, or even more closely related, would be the Spribe release Trader.

As there are no symbols to talk about in Retro Trader, we’ll go straight to the betting options. Players can choose to pit their wits against the random number generator in this game from a minimum of €1 to a maximum of €10,000, although some online casinos may restrict that upper limit.

Once you have chosen your stake, it’s time to make your prediction on whether you think the market will go up or down. After you have made your decision, you just need to tap the up or down buttons, and your selection will be locked in.

After the round has ended, the game will tell you how much of your stake has been returned back. You see, that’s one of the good things about Retro Trader, that regardless of whether you picked the correct trade or not, you’ll always receive something back, unless of course the trade ends up 100% in the opposite direction.

So, to recap on that. If you placed a €1 bet on up, and the market ended 50% up, you would win €1.50. However, it should be noted that the casino takes a commission of 2% on all winnings, so you would receive slightly less than what you originally won.

The same goes if you back the wrong outcome. If you bet €1 on up and the market ended 50% down, you would win €0.50, minus the 2% casino commission.

Pros

  • A low-volatile casino game that's great for a long playing session.
  • High RTP of 99%.
  • Rounds are played fast, so great for quick gaming

Cons

  • You won't be hitting vast multiples of your stake whilst playing.
  • Not all players will see the attraction of this game.

Retro Trader Game Review Final Thoughts

Although Retro Trader is a low-volatile casino game, I had a lot of fun playing it, and I can see how those wanting to have an extended gambling session with a small budget will enjoy it. And, to be fair, the same could be said for those with bigger balances that like the thrill of fast betting games, where, granted, you won't be winning huge multiples of your bet each game, but you won't be losing vast amounts either.
