Slot Overview

The Reel King Hot to Pot is a medium-volatility 5-reel game from Blueprint Gaming featuring a collector mechanic that can award random bonuses and a free spins feature, where top prizes can reach up to a maximum of 10,000x the bet.

Gameplay & Bonus Features

Created across a 5×3 reel matrix, Reel King Hot to Pot includes 10 fixed paylines where payouts are awarded if three or more matching symbols connect across an active line from left to right. Staking options begin from a minimum of €0.10 up to a maximum of €1,000, whilst due to the progressive jackpots attached to this release, the return to player percentage is low, at just 93.50%.

The base game revolves around collecting symbols into the Reel King Pot. Any cash prize or Reel King symbols that land are added to it, and on any spin, it can trigger a Pick a Crown feature.

From here, you’re given one of several outcomes. You might get King Spins added straight to the reels, extra cash symbols for a guaranteed win, or a collect-style setup where values are paid instantly. There’s also the chance to trigger the Reel King Riches feature.

This feature can also activate by landing a Reel King symbol together with a wild. When it does, the symbol expands across the reel and spins a set of mini-reels to award wins. If it comes via the Hot to Pot feature, it can expand across all reels instead, which is where it becomes much stronger.

There’s also a small extra tied in here, where landing P, O and T across the mini-reels can award one of the jackpot pots on top of any other wins.

King Spins

King Spins are triggered by landing 3 or more bonus symbols, awarding between 10 and 20 spins depending on how many land.

During the feature, wilds become active and can land anywhere on the reels. When they do, they act as collectors, picking up any cash values that land alongside them and paying them instantly.

There’s also a progression trail running through the feature. Every wild that lands moves you forward, and as you hit certain points, you’re given extra spins along with increasing multipliers on collected values.

At 4 wilds, you’ll get extra spins and a x2 multiplier. At 8, this increases to x3, and at 12, it jumps up to x10. These upgrades are applied after your current spins are finished, extending the feature rather than interrupting it.

The feature continues until all spins are used, with everything collected during the round paid at the end.

Theme & Design

The Reel King slot franchise is a long-standing collection of games, first seen in arcades and bookmakers around the UK, before being converted to online. The design and theme are somewhat generic, with the symbols on the reels being old-school fruits and royals, but despite the older feel to the game, it is still very well presented, just like previous releases in the series such as Reel King Megaways and Reel Linking, if you want to give them a go, too.

Pros

  • Reel King is still a firm favorite with UK players
  • The max win of 10,000x
  • Features progressive jackpots, too

Cons

  • Low RTP due to the progressives
  • Those who don't like Reel King, look away now
  • The 10,000x max win unlikely to be won

Final Thoughts

The collector-style mechanic we've seen roll out across 1,000s of slots since 2025 is not really showing any signs of slowing up, and with studios like Blueprint Gaming having a big back catalogue to go at, we're more likely to see it added to games like Reel King. If that's your thing, then you'll be rubbing your hands together with releases like Reel King: Hot to Pot. However, if you are bored to tears by them, you will probably want to look away now and try something else.
