Gameplay & Bonus Features
Qilin Treasures operates on a 5-reel, 4-row grid, and the slot uses a 1024-ways-to-win mechanic. You can bet between €0.20 and €200 per spin, and the game’s RTP is set at 97%, well above the current industry average.
The core action revolves around the Fortune Ball feature, which pays out when specific feature symbols land consecutively on three or more reels from the left. You will also notice that there’s an accumulation symbol, and this builds up a number on the Fortune Ball. This can eventually trigger the full bonus round.
You will also notice that a special multiplier symbol can land on reel 3. When it does, it increases the value of all multipliers in view by 2x, 3x, or 5x. During the base game, Free Spins symbols also accumulate values. When the feature is triggered, the amount stored in the Free Game Pot is then added to the Fortune Ball Pot. You begin the Free Spins bonus with 8 free games. During the feature, landing additional Free Game symbols awards 3 extra spins. Most importantly, when Fortune Ball triggers during Free Games, the accumulated number does not reset until the Free Game bonus ends.
Theme & Design
Qilin Treasures draws inspiration from the legendary Eastern creature, the Qilin. In Chinese mythology, Qilin is meant to represent prosperity and good fortune. As you’d expect, the visual side of Qilin Treasures focuses heavily around this theme, and you’ll see Golden Coins, Treasure Chests, and Calligraphy Drawings on the reels.
If we had to try and compare Qilin Treasures to other video slots, we’d say it shares some similarities with 88 Fortunes Megaways, but it also contains some of the elements we see in Dragon Tiger Fortunes.

Final Thoughts
Qilin Treasures is another TaDa Gaming release that looks like it has potential... but that lets itself down at the final hurdle. The game looks decent; there are some pretty well-thought-out mechanics and bonus features, but everything else feels just... meh.
Combining localised jackpots with a maximum win potential of just 2,000x is, for us, bizarre. We also don’t like the fact that the software provider hasn’t explained the game rules well. We know English likely isn’t their first language, but this isn’t really an excuse.
As a result, it’s not actually clear how the local jackpots can be won, although from our testing, we did deduce that they are awarded during the Hold & Win bonus. So, for us - Qilin Treasures looks OK, but it lacks what it needs to make it a playable slot; it is not one of TaDa Gaming’s best.
