Game Overview

Pilot Chicken is a new Crash game from Spribe, and you’ll be trying to help the chicken cross the road – and avoid aeroplanes as he does so! It’s basic, sure, but it’s surprisingly addictive, and there’s a handy Auto Play feature available, too, that allows you to set an auto cash-out limit! So, what does Demoslot make of Pilot Chicken? Find out in our detailed review.

Gameplay & Bonus Features

Pilot Chicken is not a slot game, and that’s important, as it doesn’t play like a slot in the slightest! Each round begins with you placing a bet between €0.10 and €100, and you’ll then see the chicken attempt to cross the road one step at a time, with each successful move increasing the win multiplier.

After each successful step, you’ll be given a cash-out value; you can either choose to take the cash-out, which ends the game round, or you can choose to “continue” and try to cross the next stage. If the chicken collides with a plane, you lose, and the game round ends. That really is all there is to it!

There is also an Auto Play mechanic that allows you to set up to 500 rounds to play out automatically. You can also choose to auto cash out after you hit a certain win multiplier, which is fairly cool.

Is all of this sounding a bit familiar? Well, it might just be that you’ve played something very similar before in the shape of Chicken Road and Chicken Road 2. Yes, there’s not a lot between them, is there?

Theme & Design

Pilot Chicken, like most Crash games, is quite simple in design, and there’s not a huge amount going on, to be honest. The game is designed around a playful, minimalist cartoon style, and you’ll see a cheeky chicken on the left-hand side of the screen as he prepares to cross the road, with moving planes!

It’s basic, yes, but that’s pretty much the point of most Crash games. If you’ve ever played titles like Limbo+ or Aviator, you’ll already know what to expect here, really; it’s a gambling game that’s fast-paced, action-packed, and designed for players wanting short game rounds!

Pros

  • Simple, intuitive gameplay.
  • Control how volatile (or not) to make the game.
  • Provably Fair mechanics.

Cons

  • No bonuses, features, or modifiers.
  • Quite risky; successive losses are common.
  • It gets quite boring after a while.

Final Thoughts

Pilot Chicken offers a refreshing change of pace if you’re the type of player looking for something beyond reels/paylines/features/anything remotely slot-like. Yes, it’s about as far removed from a video slot as can be, but the arcade-like structure makes each round fairly fast and exciting, if you’re into this type of game.

Perhaps the biggest benefit of games like Pilot Chicken is the fact that the volatility is almost entirely player-driven. You can choose to play a very cautious approach (and cash out early) or take a riskier stance and keep going for longer.

The downside is that, after a few rounds, it does start to feel quite boring. There’s no action or special modifiers, so once you get wiped out a few times in a row, it gets frustrating. Still, if you want easy-to-play, quick, and light-hearted, Pilot Chicken isn’t a bad game!
