Game Overview

Piggy Blitz Casino Gold is the latest release from Play’n GO, and it offers a lot, from a Bonus Game, multipliers, a Piggy Bank Collection mechanic, four fixed jackpots, and more! Learn everything you need to know about the game here in this detailed slot review.

Theme & Design

We’ve become somewhat used to seeing video slots set inside a virtual land-based casino. Whether it’s titles like Big Time Gaming’s Slot Vegas Megaquads or Octoplay’s Vegas Blitz: Hold and Win, these games have become somewhat of a staple in the online gambling industry.

Piggy Blitz Casino Gold is the latest game from Play’n GO to fit the genre, and the reels are set within a purple, neon-lit land-based casino, with slot machines visible on either side of the reels in the background; you really do feel as though you’re sitting in a casino pushing the buttons yourself!

Above the reels, you’ll see the game’s four fixed jackpots: Mini, Minor, Major, and Mega, and in the top right-hand corner of the screen, you will see the current bonus multiplier: More on both of these shortly.

Piggy Blitz Casino Gold Gameplay & Features

Piggy Blitz Casino Gold is designed around a six-reel, four-row layout. The slot uses a 4,096-ways-to-win mechanic, so you don’t need to worry about paylines. You can wager between €0.10 and €100 per spin, although, unfortunately, at the time of writing this review, no RTP information is available.

There’s a surprisingly high amount of action in Piggy Blitz Casino Gold, and the first feature is triggered by landing Piggy Bank symbols on the reels to collect all the Cash Coins. All Cash Coins, including the jackpot values, can be collected twice, and if you land 2 Piggy Banks and no Cash Coins during the base game, you’ll trigger Re-Spins. During these Re-Spins, only Cash Coins can land, and you win the value of whatever you land at the end!

During the base game, Cash Coins can land anywhere on the reels. If no Piggy Bank symbols land at the same time, all Cash Coins are automatically collected into the Piggy above the reels. As more coins are collected, the Piggy grows in size. At any point, when a Cash Coin is collected, a prize can be awarded randomly. These prizes range from 10x to 5,000x!

Now, you’ll also notice that throughout the base game, landing 2 Scatters increases the Bonus Game Multiplier meter by one segment. The meter contains 10 segments, and once it’s full, the multiplier increases by +1x, up to a maximum of 5x. This multiplier is automatically activated at the start of any Bonus Game and applies for the duration of both Blitz Spinz and Bonus Spinz.

Landing 3 or more Scatters triggers the bonus selector. The number of Scatters determines how many spins you receive. You can then choose from Bonus Spinz, where you collect scatters to upgrade the multiplier meter and progress through stages; Blitz Spinz, which is a fast-paced money-collect mode; or Mystery, which randomly awards one of the two.

Pros

  • Win up to 8,000x.
  • 4096-ways-to-win.
  • Cool design, lots of bonuses, and four fixed jackpots.

Cons

  • No RTP information available.
  • Base game wins are heavily dependent on Cash Coin wins.
  • No bonus buy available.

Piggy Blitz Casino Gold Slot Review Final Thoughts

Piggy Blitz Casino Gold may not be the most innovative or creative game we’ve ever seen, but it’s far from the worst, and Play’n GO has done a fairly decent job in ensuring that it appeals to a wide variety of players.

We like the overall look, feel, and design of the slot, even if it’s not the most original in the world, and the cool neon-like presentation does immerse you in the game and make you feel as though you’re sitting in a land-based casino for yourself!

There’s also a pretty good mixture of bonuses and features, and while they rely heavily on the coin-collection mechanic, there’s still some uniqueness, especially if you manage to trigger the Blitz Spins, which can be very exciting.

So, not the best release in the world, but certainly not the worst, and definitely a game we’ll be having a few spins on once it’s released!
