Slot Overview
Ola Diego Jumboways is an EGT release that combines a bullfighting theme with, what we think is fair to say, their version of Big Time Gaming’s Megaways mechanic. This is a cascading slot that offers 2 to 7 rows per spin, and this offers up to 117,649 ways to win. There are two different Free Spins modes, a Clover Chance progressive jackpot, and the chance to win up to 10,000x, so is it any good? Let’s find out.
Gameplay & Bonus Features
The Jumboways mechanic is EGT Digital’s answer to Megaways, and each reel can land between 2 and 7 symbols. This means that when the grid lands at full expansion, there can be as many as 117,649-ways-to-win active – and the game offers a decent RTP of 96.55%. You can bet between €0.20 and €2,000, too, so there are stake options for pretty much every player.
Now, landing 3, 4, 5, or 6 of the Scatter symbols anywhere in view triggers the Free Spins bonus and this awards between 7 and 20 free games. You then get to choose between two modes: Locked Wilds Free Spins, or Falling Wilds Free Spins. In both modes, Multiplier Wilds can land on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5, and these display a multiplier of 1x, 2x, or 3x.
During the Locked Wilds Free Spins, any wild symbols that land lock in place and stick for the duration of the feature, while in Falling Wilds Free Spins, wilds land from above and move down the reels with each successive cascade.
You can also buy directly into the Free Spins bonus for a cost of 100x, and there’s an x2 Chance Ante Bet, too, which increases your base game stake by 25% and doubles your chance of landing the feature naturally.
The Clover Chance four-tier jackpot round is triggered randomly on any spin, and when it does, you simply pick from 15 symbols on screen until you match three, which determines which of the four jackpots you’re awarded.

Theme & Design
Spanish bullfighting isn’t a theme we see all the time in video slots, but there are a few successful games, El Toreo, most notably, and a couple of Elk Studios’s releases. So, it’s nice to see EGT experimenting with themes that aren’t necessarily the most popular, and it works well here, we feel.
In Ola Diego Jumboways, the star of the show is Diego, a bullfighter, and you’ll see him alongside a cast of charging bulls, colourful costumes, and other theme-specific icons, all set against a vivid, festival-lit backdrop.
It’s definitely one of EGT’s better-looking slots, we feel, and above the reels you’ll be able to see the game’s four progressive jackpots, too. We’ll talk more about these – and how to win them – later in this review.
Pros
- Two different Free Spins modes
- Bonus Buy + Ante Bet options available
- Clover Chance jackpot round can trigger on any spin
Cons
- Jumboways is... very similar to Megaways
- It’s a high variance game so expect long dry spells in the base
- Bullfighting theme won’t appeal to everyone
Final Thoughts
Ola Diego Jumboways is one of EGT’s better releases, and for us, it shows the software provider is more than capable of producing more than the classic, retro-inspired games many have come to associate them with.
The Jumboways mechanic (while maybe not entirely unique) adds a unique twist into the mix, and the game just does most things well: the high maximum win potential of 10,000x, the above-average RTP of 96.55%, and the fact that you can choose between two different Free Spins modes.
Then, add in the fact that there’s the Clover Chance progressive jackpot, too, and you can quickly start to see why Ola Diego Jumboways became one of the studio’s most popular releases. Is it for everyone? No, the theme won’t appeal to all players, but for us, this is a well-rounded game with great win potential, exciting mechanics, and it’s well worth checking out in our opinion.
