Slot Overview
Mystery Heist is a heist-themed video slot from BGaming, and it uses a 1,024-ways-to-win mechanic with Sticky Mystery Prizes, two Free Spins modes, Jackpots, Bonus Buys, and a maximum win potential of up to 2,000x your bet. There’s a lot going on, but with a fairly low max win, is it worth playing? Find out in this comprehensive Mystery Heist slot review.
Theme & Design
Mystery Heist is really well-designed; a far-cry from the quality we used to see BGaming pushing out. In fact, many of their recent releases, like UFO Pyramids and Frozen Fruit, have shown impressive levels of innovation, and it’s refreshing to see the provider working so hard to create games that live up to our expectations in 2025/6.
Mystery Heist is set in a grand museum-like setting complete with marble floors and curved ceilings, and you can just make out diamonds encrusted in secure housing; it gives the feel of a high-class European museum, except you aren’t visiting to admire the collection; you’re there to try and pull off the heist and win big!
Above the reels, you can see the game’s four local jackpots, and to the right-hand side is a BUY button, allowing you to purchase entry into the game’s bonuses and features.

Mystery Heist Gameplay & Bonus Features
Mystery Heist uses a 5-reel, 4-row grid with 1024-ways-to-win, so wins are formed by matching symbols on adjacent reels from left to right. You can bet between €0.20 and €130 per spin, and the game runs at a pretty high RTP of 97.13%.
Mystery Heist’s core mechanic is the Sticky Mystery Prize symbols. These can land anywhere in view, but they only reveal a value when 4+ land on the screen. They then display a value worth between 0.1x and 20x, or one of the game’s four jackpots: Mini (25x), Minor (50x), Major (250x), or Grand (500x). In the base game, Sticky Mystery Prizes remain locked for three spins, so you don’t have to land 4+ on the same spin.
Now, landing 3 of the scatter symbols anywhere in view triggers the Free Spins Bonus, awarding 10 free games. At the start of the round, all Scatters transform into Sticky Mystery Prizes and remain locked for the entire feature, with the lowest possible prize value increased to 0.2x.
If you land 4 Scatter symbols in view, you’ll trigger the Super Free Spins feature. This, again, awards you with 10 free games, but here, the Sticky Mystery Prize symbols are worth a minimum of 1x. In both features, the Sticky Mystery Prizes lock in place until the end of the bonus, at which point they reveal their multipliers and pay accordingly.
Bonus Buy Options
Mystery Heist includes three Buy Bonus options. Free Spins can be purchased for 70x, Super Free Spins cost 250x, and you can also use the Mystery Buy for 125x, which randomly triggers one of the two bonus modes.
Pros
- Well above-average RTP of 97.13%.
- Four local jackpots to be won.
- Sticky Mystery Prize symbols pay in both the base game and the bonus.
Cons
- The base game is pretty dead unless you hit Mystery Prize symbols.
- No real win potential in the Free Spins outside of the Mystery Prizes.
- Max win is just 2,000x.
Mystery Heist Slot Review Final Thoughts
Mystery Heist is a slot that clearly focuses on simplistic gameplay rather than complex mechanics. The Sticky Mystery Prize system is well-done, we feel, and easy to follow, and there’s not really any difference between the base game and the bonus round, making it pretty easy to understand.
We like the fact that BGaming has included a Super Free Spins Bonus, as this adds an extra level of excitement in the game as you try to land the four Scatter symbols. The maximum win potential and the 500x max jackpot are, for us, quite disappointing. It’s a low maximum win potential, but that’s kind of understandable for a medium variance game.
It does boast a well above-average RTP, which is good, and the design is solid. So, we’d say Mystery Heist is ideal for casual or inexperienced players. Serious “slotters,” used to content from studios like Nolimit City and Hacksaw Gaming, may be disappointed. For us, though, Mystery Heist is a decent little release and is a laid-back, easy to play game to have some fun on!
