Slot Overview
Monopoly Money Magnate is a new Monopoly slot from Red Tiger. Unlike most similar games that follow the board-game mechanic, this focuses on Park Lane, instead. There’s a lot going on, with the game designed around money symbols, Chance cards, and two separate bonus rounds, and it looks good! Still, with a low maximum win potential of just 3,623x, does Monopoly Money Magnate do enough to make it playable? The Demoslot team investigates.
Gameplay & Bonus Features
Monopoly Money Magnate plays on 5 reels, 3 rows, and 10 fixed paylines. You can bet from €0.20 to €100 per spin. The game’s default RTP is 96.13%, although lower versions are available, too.
At the heart of the game is the Monopoly Money symbol set, and this can land on reels 1, 2, 3, and 4, displaying prize values that vary by colour tier. When Mr Monopoly lands as a 1×3 symbol on the rightmost reel, he collects any Monopoly Money values that landed in the same spin. There’s a separate progress element in the game, too, which is driven by Scottie symbols on the last reel. There are two progress levels, each of which is completed by collecting 20 symbols.
Progress Level 1 adds a “sticky” mechanic. After collecting money, Mr Monopoly remains for an extra spin and may stay locked in place as long as Monopoly Money keeps landing. Progress Level 2 adds an increasing multiplier mechanic to Mr Monopoly that can increase after successful collections.
The Chance symbol can appear on the leftmost reel, too. When Chance and Mr Monopoly show up together, a Chance card is drawn, and this can do things like increase money values, add extra money symbols, swap symbols to higher-paying tiers, award a small instant win, or improve Mr Monopoly’s multiplier/stickiness via specific cards.
There’s also a random feature; a Bonus Scatter can land on reel 1, and if it lands with Mr Monopoly in view, it randomly triggers either Free Spins or Hold & Respin. If Mr Monopoly has already built a multiplier, it can carry into the bonus, too.
Free spins begin with 7 spins, with Mr Monopoly locked on the fifth reel for the duration of the feature. Scatters don’t land here, but a Chance card can add extra spins. The Hold & Respin feature begins with 3 Respins, and here, only Monopoly Money and Chance symbols can land, with each new landing resetting the respin counter. Mr Monopoly and money symbols are sticky until the feature ends, and a Chance card can increase the respin count, too.
Bonus Buy
Monopoly Money Magnate offers two Bonus Buy options, both of which are very affordable. The Hold & Respin feature can be purchased for 20x, and the Free Spins can be purchased for 50x. Both Bonus Buy options play as though progress levels are completed.

Theme & Design
Rather than dropping you straight onto the Monopoly board, Monopoly Money Magnate is played on Park Lane, and it’s all designed to look like an upscale London street view! It works well, and it’s a refreshing break away from most Monopoly games that are designed around the board format.
Now, the game is built heavily around a collection-based mechanic, which is common for Monopoly games. If you’ve played other Monopoly slots like Monopoly Megaways or Monopoly Megapots, you’ll recognise the core mechanics, but there’s enough difference here to make it interesting, in our opinion.
Pros
- Nice theme and clear collect-based mechanics.
- Unique Chance Card feature.
- Reasonably priced Bonus Buys.
Cons
- Max win of 3,623x is a little low.
- Free Spins can be a bit “restrained” with Mr Monopoly on the last reel.
- Bonus Buy unavailable in some regions.
Final Thoughts
Monopoly Money Magnate is a fairly attractive video slot that is designed around a collection-based mechanic, and it’s designed for players wanting something to sit down and play for a while, rather than those looking for quick, instant wins. We really like how the game is set on Park Lane, too, as this differentiates the game from pretty much every other Monopoly-themed slot out there.
In volatility terms, it sits in that medium/high zone, so you can still expect to see dry spells, but we feel that Red Tiger does a pretty decent job of keeping you engaged with the progress goals and “did he collect?” decisions. Of course, the best wins come when progress upgrades, My Monopoly sticks, and Chance boost cards come into play, especially if your built multipliers transfer over into the bonus round!
Still, it’s hard to ignore the fact that the maximum win potential of 3,623x is a little on the low side. Yes, it’s not really a high variance game, but we would have liked to have seen a slightly higher win cap. For casual Monopoly fans, however, and for players who enjoy collection-based mechanics with affordable Bonus Buy options, Monopoly Money Magnate is a fairly decent little release!
