Midas Golden Touch Thunderpots Bonus Features

Midas Golden Touch Thunderpots follows on from Midas Golden Touch 2 and Midas Golden Touch 3. This version keeps the Midas wild multiplier setup, where wilds substitute for all symbols except scatters and boost any payline they are part of. The more wilds involved in a line, the bigger the multiplier, starting at 2x for one wild and rising to 32x for five wilds.

The bonus game is built around blue, white and red scatter symbols, each linked to a matching chest above the reels. Any colour combination can trigger 6 free spins with 1 added wild on every spin, while the active chest colours decide which power-ups apply. The blue chest increases wild multipliers, the white chest adds sticky respins after wins, and the red chest adds 2 to 5 wilds on reels 2 to 4 on every spin.

During free spins, activating a new chest resets the free spins back to 6 and adds that chest’s power-up. If all 3 chests become active, all scatter symbols return, and further chest activations can reset the spin count again. The buy feature menu offers direct entry with 1+ chests for 50x the bet, 2+ chests for 100x the bet, and 3 chests for 250x the bet.

Pros

  • More than one modifier can trigger for the bonus round
  • The max win creeps over 10,000x
  • Ideal even for low-rollers, with the game playable from €0.10 a spin

Cons

  • Another boring collector-style game
  • One too many games in this slot series
  • Unfair that the bonus buy won't be available in all regions

Final Thoughts

Some of the other releases in the Midas Golden Touch franchise are actually quite fun to play, but despite those past efforts, I found Midas Golden Touch Thunderpots a bit boring to play, especially as it's another symbol collector game that plays a huge part in triggering the bonus round.

It is a little easier to get to those bonus rounds if you've got a big bankroll and can afford the bonus buys (if they are available in your jurisdiction), but overall, this is a slot release I'd swerve.
