Theme & Design

Visually, it reminds slightly of Play’n GO’s Gemix or PG Soft’s Garuda Gems. The reels are overlaid on top of a green emerald, and all of the game’s symbols are gems. It’s very easy on the eyes, and it’s an excellent representation of what BGaming is capable of producing today.

Merge Up Gameplay & Features

Merge Up is designed around a 6×6 grid layout. There are no paylines; instead, wins are formed by landing clusters of four or more symbols. The game can be played between €0.20 and €50 per spin. Autoplay and fast-spin options are available.

Now, the core mechanic of Merge Up is the Merge Up feature. Any time you form a win, some of the winning symbols disappear, and the remaining ones become symbols of the next level. There are nine different symbol levels in the game.

The game’s main bonus round is a free spins feature, and this is triggered by landing 4 or more scatter symbols anywhere in view. This awards between 15 and 20 free spins, and during the bonus, the cells where a winning cluster was formed become marked. If a marked cell forms part of a winning combo again, a 2x multiplier is applied to that win, and this multiplier increases by +2x every time a new win occurs in that cell.
