Game Overview
Casino game provider Blueprint Gaming’s latest release is Mega Charged Cash, a lightning-themed money collect slot that uses the studio’s familiar Power Spins mechanic and adds in multiplier boosts and energy-charged bonus features. With wins of up to 6,500x possible, is it worth playing? Let’s find out.
Theme & Design
Mega Charged Cash takes place in what looks to be the midst of a fully charged thunderstorm. You’ll see electric currents, lightning bolts, and an ever-present blue glow that really does make you feel like you’re in the midst of a terrifying storm!
Visually, it’s pretty well done, even if it does rely more on the background imagery and visual effects than the main mechanics. It feels a bit like Power Surge Cash Eruption or even Big Bass Hold & Spinner Megaways in that the main hook revolves around collect symbols and multipliers rather than traditional paylines.

Mega Charged Cash Gameplay & Bonus Features
Played on a 6-reel, 4-row setup with additional Power Up reels hovering above the middle four reels, Mega Charged Cash can be played for between €0.10 and €20 per spin. The game offers a slightly below-average RTP of 95%.
Now, Mega Charged Cash is built entirely around the collect mechanic. Only cash values and Power Spins symbols can appear on the reels, and you’ll need the lightning-shaped Collect symbol (which lands on reels 1, 6, and the Power Up reel) to collect any values that land.
When one appears alongside cash prizes, it triggers the feature and collects all visible values, which range from 0.5x up to 100x your base stake. Now, it’s the Power Up Reel where things start to get interesting, and this sits above reels 2-5. Here, it can reveal multipliers or additional prize boosts whenever a Collect symbol lands.
These upgrades can double, triple, or even multiply wins by up to 10x, or add new cash values directly beneath the reel they hover over. There’s also a Charge Up mechanic. Every time a Collect symbol lands on reels 1 or 6, it contributes energy to one of two meters above the grid: Cash Bolt or Power Spins. These meters can activate randomly at any time.
Cash Bolt floods the reels with extra cash symbols, while Power Spins loads additional Power Spin icons that can instantly trigger the main bonus. The Power Spins feature is what you’ll be looking to trigger, and it’s activated by landing a Power Spins symbol with a Collect in view. It can award between 2 and 10 spins. During these spins, Collect symbols remain active, collecting all visible cash prizes and Power Spin symbols.
Occasionally, the X Charge multiplier randomly activates, multiplying the total collect win by up to 10x, too.
Power Play
Some operators (in regions where it’s allowed) can also choose to enable Power Play mode. This increases your base game stake by a whopping 500%, but in return, you have an increased chance of triggering the Power Spins feature.
Pros
- Pretty cool-looking backdrop and visuals.
- Win up to 6,500x your bet.
- Unique Power Spins mechanic.
Cons
- No traditional paying symbol wins.
- RTP is a little below-average at 95%.
- The base game can feel quite repetitive.
Mega Charged Cash Slot Review Final Thoughts
Mega Charged Cash is Blueprint Gaming doing what it does best, and that’s taking a straightforward mechanic and adding in a dose of progression-based meters, features, and random energy. Sure, it’s not the most unique slot in the world, and it’s far from being the first game we’ve seen that doesn’t offer traditional payline wins - relying, instead, on landing cash values + Collect symbols.
It’s not the deepest or most visually groundbreaking slot out there, but it’s polished, well-paced, and genuinely quite a bit of fun once the features start landing. Just be aware that if the features don’t land, the base game can get pretty boring quite quickly, so it may not be overly well-suited for extended playing sessions.
