Blueprint Gaming’s original Lucky Pharaoh slot was somewhat popular, but it definitely did better in the bookies than it did in the online world. Compare this to titles like, for example, Diamond Mine, and it was barely popular at all.

That’s why we were somewhat surprised to see Lucky Pharaoh Power Spins on our list of games to review this week. Supposedly, it’s a sequel to the original Lucky Pharaoh, but aside from a few of the same symbols, they don’t really look alike, and this spinoff is all about the Power Spins mechanic, which we’ll cover below.

Now, visually, Lucky Pharaoh Power Spins is pretty basic, and while it’s clear there is a slight ancient Egyptian theme to the game, there’s very little to look at, besides some hieroglyphics in the background; that’s pretty much it.

Lucky Pharaoh Power Spins Gameplay & Bonus Features

Lucky Pharaoh Power Spins is designed around a five-reel, three-row layout. There are ten fixed paylines in play at all times. You can stake between €0.20 and €2 per spin, and the game offers a below-average RTP of 94%. Now, although it’s a 10-payline game, Lucky Pharaoh Power Spins actually uses an “adjacent pays” mechanic. This means wins can be formed anywhere on the screen, provided you form a minimum of a three-of-a-kind combo.

Now, there is very little going on in Lucky Pharaoh Power Spins. The game revolves entirely around the Power Spins mechanic. Any time you form a win that’s worth at least 4x your total bet, you have the option to exchange your win for Power Spins or collect it.

If you choose to exchange your win, you are taken to a new screen where 4 sets of reels spin at once. This, effectively, gives you four chances to win per spin. You can also choose to adjust your stake before entering Power Spins. For instance, if you hit a big win in the base game, worth, say, 100x your stake, you could increase the stake so that you only get a few Power Spins, but if you manage to form a win during the feature, it’ll be worth a lot more.

During the Power Spins you’ll also notice that the Lucky Pharaoh Mystery Symbol becomes active. On any spin where a Mystery Symbol lands in view, one symbol is chosen at random. All Mystery Symbols then transform into this symbol.
