Game Overview
Have you ever found a four-leaved clover? I distinctly remember a friend finding one when I was younger and him becoming increasingly angry throughout the rest of that week when nothing exceptional happened to him. Ah, bless! Perhaps Pocket Games Soft and their new Lucky Clover Lady will be a little more successful in bringing us some luck. This scatter-paying grid slot awards wins for eight or more matching symbols appearing anywhere on the playfield, with a maximum jackpot cap of 7,500x the total bet and 96.77% RTP.
Lucky Clover Lady plays a little differently from your typical grid slot or even other scatter-pay games, as all winning symbols are automatically converted to match the highest-paying winning symbol that is currently visible. Furthermore, winning symbols are held in place after they land whilst other symbols explode and are removed, allowing additional winning symbols to fall in their place. The reels are also packed with lucky clover multiplier symbols as well as bonus scatter symbols which are used to activate the free spins feature.

Lucky Clover Lady Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
Lucky Clover Lady has a definite Irish Slot look and feel to it, which is a hugely popular theme used by a multitude of other online slots. Indeed, games such as Luck O’The Irish Big Bonus and Irish Frenzy are some of the most popular you will find at large online casinos, so it’s not too surprising to see Pocket Games Soft jump on the bandwagon with this release. All the symbols used in this game have an Irish theme – even the Lucky Clover Lady herself is wearing what I would describe as a hat she stole from a nearby leprechaun! It’s a nice-looking package, but it’s certainly not unique, and for me, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I’d seen it all before.
Despite the familiar visuals, the paytable was still able to quickly recapture my interest in the game. The highest-paying lucky lady symbol can pay as much as 5,000x the total bet, although you would need to hit an entire screen of 30 matching symbols to collect such a prize. That’s a lot more than the next symbol – the harp – which has a return of 800x the total bet when 30 matching symbols appear, followed by the banjo at 400x, the regular beer at 200x, and the green beer at 100x – shouldn’t that one pay more really? At the other end of the table, five standard royals make up the low-paying collection of symbols. The most valuable are the aces, worth up to 40x the current stake, followed by the kings at 30x, queens at 25x, jacks at 22.5x, and the tens at 20x for the maximum of 30 symbols.
Pocket Games Soft is well known for offering a wide range of bets in their slots, and Lucky Clover Lady continues that tradition with minimum/maximum betting limits of €0.20 and €100.00 per spin, respectively.
Base Game & Modifiers
Lucky Clover Lady utilises a six reel layout with five rows in each column, making for a total of 30 unique symbol positions. You’ll need to land at least eight matching symbols anywhere on the reels to score a win, but as a scatter-pay machine, it doesn’t matter where they are located. If you hit more than one group of eight or more matching symbols, the lower paying group will be automatically upgraded to the higher paying symbol.
Winning symbols are always held in place after they land, whilst losing symbols will explode and disappear. After this, a new set of symbols will drop in from the top of the screen, potentially increasing the number of winning symbols or adding additional multipliers to the current win. When a symbol drop does not add any extra winning symbols to your current combination, you will be paid out according to the paytable.
Lucky Clover Symbol
During any spin, one or more lucky clover symbols may land on the reels and remain in place during all subsequent symbol drops. At the end of the round, lucky clovers will reveal either a level-up symbol or a multiplier value of between 2x and 20x.
The level-up symbol will cause all symbols on the reels to automatically transform into the next highest-paying symbol. If more than one multiplier symbol is visible on the reels, their value will be added together before being applied to your total win.
Lucky Clover Lady Slot Bonus Features
The free spins feature will be activated when three or more scatter symbols land anywhere on the playfield. A minimum three-scatter trigger will award 15 free spins, whilst four or five scatters will grant you 17 or 19 free spins, respectively.
Free Spins
In this mode, three lucky clover symbols will be awarded at the top of the reels before each round. These work identically to the ones that are present on the regular base game reels, but the difference here is that you are guaranteed at least three of them on every free spin. Unfortunately, it seems that the level-up symbol is much more common than the multipliers during this part of the game. Hitting three or more scatter symbols whilst the free spins are in play will add an extra 15-19 free spins to your remaining total.
Pros
- Well-presented, bright and colourful.
- Higher than average RTP of 96.77%
- The free spins feature can be very generous when it decides to give you plenty of multipliers!
Cons
- The theme is very samey, with little to separate the game from other Irish-themed online slots.
Lucky Clover Lady Slot Review Final Thoughts
I’m not sure how lucky this game will be for Pocket Games Soft – whilst it’s certainly good fun for a while, it’s rather average in many ways. Overall, Lucky Clover Lady is worth a look, but I doubt you’ll keep returning to the game over the long term.
