Game Overview
Online slot and casino game provider Hacksaw Gaming takes us to Las Vegas in Le King, a high-variance slot featuring jackpots and a maximum win potential of 20,000x! So, get dressed up in your favourite Elvis impersonation gear, and join me as I take you through our full game review.
Theme & Design
Le King is set in Vegas, and you’ll see the reels surrounded by neon-lit streets and a cosy-looking Las Vegas backstreet. Below the reels you’ll see a funky racoon, who looks suspiciously like Elvis Presley, and he’s rocking around, busting moves each time you spin!
It’s a solid-looking game, as is the case with most Hacksaw Gaming releases, and the soundtrack is funky and fitting for the theme. It forms part of the “Le” range of slots from Hacksaw Gaming, with titles like Le Pharaoh and Le Viking coming before and after the original success of Le Bandit.

Le King Gameplay & Features
Le King is designed around a familiar-looking (for Hacksaw Gaming) 6×5 layout, and there’s a cluster pays mechanic in play, so you form wins by landing clusters of five or more symbols anywhere in view. The game offers a wide variety of betting options between £0.10 and £100 per spin. The default RTP is set at 96.14%, but lower versions are available (as low as 88.25%.) It’s a medium variance game with a high maximum win potential of 20,000x!
As a cluster pays slot, Le King uses a cascading reels mechanic, and this sees winning symbols removed and replaced by new ones, with no limit on the number of times this can happen.
Now, the game’s key mechanic focuses around the Golden Squares, and this activates when a Neon Rainbow symbol lands following a cascade sequence. Once triggered, all of the visible Golden Squares reveal special symbols, Coins, Clovers, Treasure Pots, and Jackpot Markers, each offering different features/rewards.
The Coin system is tied into Bronze, Silver, and Gold, with the amounts ranging from between 0.2x and 500x. If Clover symbols appear, they apply multipliers to the surrounding squares, with the Golden Clovers multiplying values across the entire grid!
The Jackpot Markers are where Le King differs from Le Bandit, and when these appear, they award one of the game’s fixed jackpot payouts: Mini, worth 10x; Major, worth 100x; Mega, worth 1,000x; or Max Win, worth 20,000x!
The game also offers a free spins bonus round, triggered by landing three scatter symbols, and during this feature, the Golden Squares remain locked until a Neon Rainbow lands. If you trigger the bonus with four scatters, you win the Jackpot of Gold free spins, during which the Golden Squares are persistent, even after landing a Neon Rainbow.
Bonus Buy / FeatureSpins
Like most Hacksaw Gaming releases today, Le King also contains bonus buy and FeatureSpins options. You can buy the standard free spins bonus for 80x or the super bonus for 250x. For 3x, you can play with BonusHunt FreeSpins, making it 5x more likely that you’ll trigger the bonus, or, for 60x, Shamrock & Roll FeatureSpins, which guarantees at least one wild and a Neon Rainbow symbol per spin.
Pros
- The max win has been increased up to 20,000x in the "le" slot series.
- A new addition of fixed jackpots for players to aim for.
- At only €0.10 a spin, low-rollers can also take a shot at glory.
- Another improvement on the graphics, with the overall presentation of the slot being fantastic.
Cons
- Some may dislike the "fixed jackpots" as they rarely seem to give the big prizes.
- You'll realistically need to hit a four-scatter trigger to hit the big wins in the game.
Le King Slot Review Final Thoughts
Given the huge success of Le Bandit, it’s no surprise that Hacksaw Gaming decided to release yet another installment in the series, and Le King is a pretty decent addition to the “Le” range of games, in our opinion. While some players will dislike the localised jackpots (they tend to lower the RTP, and many players feel that they’re simply unwinnable), we quite like them, and it looks like the Mini and Major tend to be awarded quite frequently.
It’s a familiar-looking game with a familiar mechanic, but if you liked the original Le Bandit, Le King is likely to be a game that’ll appeal to you.
