Slot Overview
King Kong Splash is a feature-packed game from Blueprint Gaming that, of course, continues Kong’s iconic journey. It’s one of the studio’s most successful slots series, and here, you’ll find cash-prize symbols, collect mechanics, and a trail of unlockable upgrades. The game boasts a maximum win potential of 10,000x, but is it any good? The Demoslot team investigates.
Gameplay & Bonus Features
King Kong Splash is played on a six-reel, four-row layout. There are no paylines, as a 4,096-ways-to-win mechanic is used. Wins are formed by landing 3+ consecutive symbols from left to right, and the game’s RTP is 95%. You can bet between €0.10 and €25 per spin.
In the base game, you’ll notice Cash Prize symbols landing; these are joined by Kong’s Cash Modifiers, which can fire on any spin, too. These modifiers include Feeding Frenzy (adds extra cash-prize symbols), Bonus Boost (adds extra Bonus scatters), Win Boost (randomly upgrades symbols towards top symbols and/or Wilds), and Wipeout (clears the reels and drops new symbols in to force a win).
You’ll also notice Collect symbols on reels 1 and 6. If one lands, and a Cash Prize symbol is also in view, the Collect expands to cover the reel and collects all Cash Prize values in view. Every time you land a Collect symbol, it also advances the trail that unlocks additional mechanics. This includes things like Expand Collect, Cascade Collect, Colossal Collect, and Reel Collect.
The final part of the progression trail is Super Shark. When unlocked and it lands, it expands before increasing in value with any Collect symbol, and this continues until it’s “caught”.
King Kong Splash’s main bonus round is triggered by landing 3+ Bonus Scatter symbols in view. Once triggered, you receive 10 Kong Bonus Spins. Any unlocked features remain active during the bonus. In Kong Bonus Spins, whenever a Collect symbol lands in view, a prize is awarded for each Cash Prize symbol in view. Landing Collect symbols also awards extra free games and increases a multiplier.
Now, if you progress far enough in King Kong Splash, you’ll also be able to choose Fishin’ Mayhem when a bonus round lands instead of the Kong Bonus Spins. This feature awards 5 free games, and inside, only Cash Prize symbols can land + Collects. A special collect grid appears, cash values inside the grid are awarded, and Dynamite can create a new grid or increase the grid size.

Theme & Design
King Kong Cash has come a long way from the original release, with Blueprint Gaming releasing sequels like King Kong Cashpots and King Kong Crash Climber – to mixed reviews.
While some would probably argue that the theme is a bit overdone at this point, we can’t really blame Blueprint Gaming for continuing to push out new titles; it’s what we would do, after all!
King Kong Splash is designed to be quite “busy”, we feel, and you’ll see prize chests sitting above the reels, with a visible progression trail alongside. The animations are clean, and it’s not a bad looking game, to be honest.
Pros
- Decent maximum win potential of 10,000x.
- Wide variety of bonus features.
- Decent progression; new mechanics/features unlock as you play.
Cons
- Below-average RTP of 95%.
- Progression-heavy design won’t suit all players.
- Collect mechanics are, for some players, VERY overdone these days.
Final Thoughts
King Kong Splash is less about traditional line-based wins and more about building value through cash symbols, in our opinion. It’s another progression-based slot from Blueprint Gaming, and while this doesn’t suit all players, it’s clearly picking up some fans; otherwise, the studio wouldn’t continue releasing them!
We quite like how King Kong Splash works, although yes, you do need to basically unlock the game in full before the full win potential can be realised. The two bonus modes complement each other nicely, we feel, and Kong Bonus Spins rewards repeated Collect appearances, while Fishin’ Mayhem is more of a volatile pick if you’re happy to take the risk.
Sure, it probably won’t win any awards, and it definitely won’t be anywhere near as popular as previous King Kong Cash-based releases, but King Kong Splash isn’t a bad effort, and if you enjoy the Cash-Collect style slots, you’ll probably enjoy this one, too.
