Slot Overview
Jewel Boom Super Drop is a feature-packed video slot from BGaming in collaboration with Light & Wonder. Designed around a 3×1 payline mechanic, you can look forward to Collectors, Multipliers, Super Spins, and Fixed Jackpots! However, with a maximum win potential of just 3,000x, will the game appeal to the masses, or will this be one that slips between the cracks? Find out in this comprehensive review.
Theme & Design
Jewel Boom Super Drop is designed around quite a fancy casino-show theme, and you’ll see the reels themselves designed in gold, with a dark backdrop behind. It’s clear that the visual focus is pretty firmly on the reels themselves, and it’s all designed to look like a luxury slot cabinet; BGaming/Light & Wonder has done a nice job here, we feel.
Of course, it’s far from being a totally original theme, and we’ve seen something similar from many other game developers. Jewel Rush, for example, is a similar slot, as is Coin Infinity, from TaDa Gaming.

Jewel Boom Gameplay & Bonus Features
Jewel Boom Super Drop uses a 3-reel, 1-row layout with a single horizontal payline. Wins are formed by landing matching symbols directly across the line. The game runs at an RTP of 96.50%, and you can bet between €0.10 and €100 per spin.
Now, the core gameplay revolves around Coin symbols, which can land on all reels and award instant wins of up to 10x the bet. These coins come in gold, silver, and bronze types, and alongside them, you’ll find Collector symbols. These land only on reel 2, and when they appear, they collect the values of all visible Coins and award you the cash prize equivalent.
There are three different base game Collectors, each with a random win multiplier of up to 100x. Bronze Collectors award 1 Super Spin, Silver Collectors award 2 Super Spins, and Gold Collectors award 3 Super Spins, each accompanied by a win multiplier.
During Super Spins, the feature continues for as long as new Coins land. All wins that you form during the Super Spins are tallied up and boosted by a final Collector multiplier. During Super Spins, you can also land extra Multiplier symbols; on reels 1 and 3 only. These multiplier values are added to the current Collector multiplier value.
Finally, in all game modes, you can land Diamond symbols, too. When these land, there’s a chance of them triggering the Jackpot Bonus. Here, the reels spin with jackpot symbols, and if you land two matching symbols on reels 1 and 3, you’ll win the jackpot associated with that symbol.
Pros
- Clear, easy-to-understand mechanics.
- Collector and Super Spin mechanics offer decent action in a basic-designed slot.
- Five fixed jackpots available.
Cons
- Max win potential is just 2,000x.
- Lower RTP settings are available.
- No traditional Free Spins round.
Jewel Boom Slot Review Final Thoughts
It was quite surprising to see BGaming partner with Light & Wonder; it’s an unusual partnership, and it’s not something we’d have ever been able to imagine a few years ago. Still, BGaming does appear to be at the top of its game right now, and it’s pretty impressive to see them managing to form partnerships with brands like Light & Wonder.
Jewel Boom Super Drop isn’t the most exciting video slot in the world, sure, but it’s a game that knows what it wants to be. It’s designed around a pretty traditional 3x1 layout, although the single payline will likely alienate some players.
While most slots designed like this are usually fairly bland in terms of bonus action, too, Jewel Boom Super Drop offers a surprising amount of depth. You’ve got your Coin prizes, Collectors, Jackpots, and Super Spins, and all of that creates a game with quite a lot of action! We just wish the maximum win potential was a bit higher, as 2,000x is definitely on the low side in today’s online gambling world!
