Slot Overview
Hope Unleashed: Fortune Rises is a medium-volatility video slot from Play’n GO, and while it has a LOT of feature action to offer, from Mystery Symbols, Expanding Multiplier Wilds, and Free Spins, we can’t help but feel it’s all a bit wasted with a maximum win potential of just… 1,234x. But does the game do enough to redeem itself? Let’s find out.
Theme & Design
Hope Unleashed: Fortune Rises takes on a mythological fantasy theme centred on Pandora, spirits, and ancient magic. It looks pretty good, to be honest, and you’ll see that the reels are surrounded by moonlit skies, stones, and glowing magical effects.
What we really like is that when features overlap, like an Expanding Wild triggering Respins, or Spirit Orbs, the animations also kind of “combine”. It looks good, and if you’re a fan of titles like Mythical Guardians or Rise of Olympus, you’ll probably like the abundance of bonuses and features, too.

Hope Unleashed Fortune Reels Gameplay & Bonus Features
Hope Unleashed: Fortune Rises runs on a 4-reel, 4-row grid with 20 fixed paylines, paying left to right on adjacent reels. Bets range from €0.05 to €100 per spin, and the game is available in several RTP versions, with the highest set at 96.2%.
Mystery Symbols can appear on any spin, and when they do, all Mystery Symbols on the reels reveal the same symbol type, which can be regular symbols, Multiplier Wilds, or Magic Circle symbols. Multiplier Wilds substitute for all symbols except Scatters and Magic Circles and can carry multipliers of 2x to 5x.
Magic Circle symbols trigger Respins. When revealed, they summon Pandora as an Expanding Wild and immediately trigger a Respin with guaranteed Mystery Symbols. If a new Magic Circle appears during the Respin, a streak is formed, upgrading the multiplier on the newly summoned Expanding Wild.
The first streak produces an Expanding Wild with a 2x multiplier, which can progressively upgrade up to 5x from the sixth streak onwards. Now, Souls are another core mechanic, and they appear attached to standard symbols only. When they land, they award one of four fixed jackpots.
The Free Spins feature is triggered by landing 3, 4, or 5 Scatter symbols, awarding 8, 12, or 15 Free Spins, respectively. During the bonus, Mystery Symbols can reveal both standard symbols and standard symbols with Spirit Orbs attached. Each Spirit Orb holds an instant cash prize of 1x to 5x.
Pros
- Solid set of bonus mechanics, including Respins, Multipliers and Instant Bonuses.
- Medium variance works quite nicely.
- Pandaro’s Box Jackpots can be somewhat exciting.
Cons
- Very disappointing maximum win potential of just 1,234x.
- Some very low RTP versions are available.
- Some players may actually feel that there are too many features.
Hope Unleashed Fortune Reels Slot Review Final Thoughts
Hope Unleashed: Fortune Rises is quite a complex slot from a mechanical sense, and it’s clear that it obviously prioritises features and action rather than actual win potential. Yes, it does a solid job with its features, including Respin Streaks, Expanding Multiplier Wilds, Souls and Spirit Orbs, and more, but unfortunately, that max win of just 1,234x is just too low for us.
It’s quite strange for us to see a mainstream provider like Play’n GO putting so much effort into a game, only to limit its max win so low, and for us, this just means it’s not going to appeal to most players who are in search of big wins.
Yes, there is a lot going on, and the detailed bonus-centred gameplay is quite fun; so if you’re a player who genuinely doesn’t care that much about win potential, it’s not the end of the world, sure. But serious slot players? We can’t see Hope Unleashed: Fortune Rises doing overly well, unfortunately.
