Slot Overview
Heart of Tiki is a high-volatility video slot from BGaming, and from the moment you load it up, you’ll be taken to a volcanic island filled with tiki masks, expanding Wilds, and a powerful Free Spins feature, where you can win up to 5,000x. With 50 paylines, a Chance x2 Ante Bet, and a Bonus Buy, there’s plenty here to go around, but how did it do in Demoslot testing? Find out here.
Gameplay & Bonus Features
Heart of Tiki is played on a 5×5 grid layout. There are 50 fixed paylines in play at all times. You can stake between €0.20 and €100 per spin, and the game carries a well above-average RTP of 97.01%.
The Wild symbol can land anywhere, replacing all paid symbols. The Wild can also appear in any size; it can land as a standard 1×1 symbol, all the way up to a giant 5×5 one, which fills the entire screen!
The Free Spins round is triggered by landing three or more Scatter symbols anywhere in view. You begin with 6 free games. When you begin, a 1×1 Wild is active and moves to a new position on every spin. Your goal, here, is to collect Scatter symbols. Scatters collected during the feature are saved, and every third Scatter awards between one and three additional Free Spins while also increasing the Wild size to 2×2, 3×3, 4×4, and eventually 5×5.
Bonus Buy & Chance x2 Ante Bet
Heart of Tiki also contains two optional side bet/bonus buys. You can activate the Chance x2 Ante Bet, which increases your stake by 0.20%, in exchange for a doubled chance of landing the bonus naturally. You can also pay 100x to trigger the Free Spins instantly.

Theme & Design
Polynesian-themed games have always been popular, whether it’s Slotmill’s Tiki Thunder or Relax Gaming’s Tiki Bonanza, this genre of game is tried, tested, and liked by players.
Heart of Tiki does a good job of embracing the classic Polynesian island theme. The reels are set against a dramatic backdrop of palm-lined beaches and a rumbling volcano. The reels are framed in carved wooden tiles, while brightly coloured tiki masks, tropical animals, and artefacts act as the game’s symbols.
The game looks good, animations are smooth, and we didn’t have any issues while testing the game – despite playing from a mobile device.
Pros
- Solid RTP of 97.01%.
- Strong Free Spins feature with expanding/roaming Wilds.
- Ante Bet/Bonus Buy options available.
Cons
- Max win of 5,000x isn’t the highest in the world.
- Mechanics are quite familiar.
- Bonus Buy isn’t available in all regions.
Final Thoughts
Heart of Tiki is a decent little release from BGaming, and it’s clearly designed for players who enjoy high volatility and feature-driven gameplay. The base game isn’t the most incredible in the world, but it’s still possible to find some decent wins here, but yes, the Free Spins bonus is where most of the potential lies.
The expanding/roaming wilds mechanic isn’t new; we’ve seen it from Pragmatic Play quite a bit, but we like how BGaming has at least chosen a theme we haven’t seen it used with before, and the Chance x2, at just a +0.20% stake increase, is basically a “must” considering it doubles your chances of landing the bonus round naturally.
Sure, the maximum win potential of 5,000x isn’t amazing, but the well above-average RTP of 97.01% is solid, and, to be honest, this is a game we’ll probably play once it’s live; it’s especially good if you live in a region where Pragmatic Play’s slots are unavailable!
