Slot Overview
The Green & Wild slot by developer Skywind is a 5-reel game that combines a sci-fi theme with expanding wilds, free spins and high volatility, where players can hit a maximum win of 25,000x the bet.
Gameplay & Bonus Features
Green & Wild runs on a 5×5 reel structure, offering 18 fixed paylines, where wins are awarded if matching symbols land from left to right. The betting selection is wide, with stakes starting at €0.20 up to a max of €200, whilst the RTP is slightly disappointing, set at a standard 96%.
There are three different types of wilds in this game, and they all come into play quite regularly.
The standard ones land with multipliers attached, and if you get more than one in the same win, the values are just added together. You’ll also see expanding wilds, which drop in and stretch down the reel, and these can pick up multipliers from any wilds they cover.
Then you’ve got the upgrade wild, which shows up on reel 5. This one doesn’t do anything on its own, but once respins kick in, it starts boosting the multipliers on any wilds already on the screen.
Any wild landing kicks off the respins. They stick where they are, the reels go again, and if more wilds drop in, it keeps rolling. Once the reels stop adding new ones, that’s your lot.
If the upgrade wild is there, this is where it gets interesting, as it keeps pushing the multipliers higher while everything stays locked in place.
Free Spins & Super Free Spins
Scatters land on reels 1, 3 and 5 and give you 10 spins when the bonus round is triggered.
The main difference here is the expanding wilds. Instead of just stretching down, they take over the full reel, which makes them far more useful when they land well.
You can get extra spins if more symbols drop in during the feature, so it doesn’t always end after the first set.
Super Free Spins are the stronger version. You still start with 10 spins, but the multipliers on wilds begin at a higher level, so you’re not building things up from scratch. It plays out much the same as the standard version, just with better potential if you get the right setup early on.
Bonus Buy/Extra Chance
There are multiple extra betting options on Green & Wild if you want to play with a greater risk. These are:
- X4 Chace: Four times the chance of triggering a bonus – Costs 2x the bet.
- Wild Spins: Each spin guarantees at least 3 wilds – Costs 20x the bet.
- Upgrade Wild Spins: Each spin guarantees at least 2 wilds with an upgrade – Costs 50x the bet.
- Standard Free Games – Costs 100x the bet
- Super Free Games – Costs 500x the bet.

Theme & Design
Skywind are tapping heavily into the alien invasion theme on Green & Wild, and by the looks of the backdrop to the gameplay and the faces of the characters on the reels, the aliens are very much on top.
Overall, whilst not being great, it’s a passable design attempt from Skywind but not even close to other space slots like Elk Studios’ Pirots 4, which is on an entirely different level.
Pros
- Three different wilds can come into play
- A very high max win of 25,000x
- The theme isn't oversaturated in iGaming
Cons
- Doesn't have the feel of a top-tier release
- Is that max win really achievable?
- The enhanced betting options may not be accessible in all regions
Final Thoughts
Skywind might have brought a relatively unused theme to the table in Green & Wild, and whilst the variations of the wilds, free spins, and a big win of 25,000x might add more intrigue and make this title seem attractive, the game, in my opinion, does lack any genuine excitement.
