Theme & Design
Whilst you might think that a wheel full of prizes is likely to see you somewhere with a casino-style Las Vegas theme, you’d be completely wrong with that assumption when it comes to Golden Treasure. Instead, Jili Games are taking you deep into the Aztec jungle, where the game wheel is set against a backdrop of thick forest and ancient architecture.
In terms of non-live casino games, there isn’t a great deal out there in the market to compare Golden Treasure with. However, if you want to head over to the live game sector, you’ll have a good selection of titles that are similar, with Crazy Time and Mega Wheel being my top two suggestions.
Golden Treasure Gameplay & Features
As you’ll have likely figured out from our review so far, Golden Treasure is a unique casino game rather than a slot from Jili Games, and it doesn’t have any reels, paylines, or symbols. Players participate in the action by choosing to bet across four multiplier values and three bonus rounds, with staking options ranging from a minimum of €0.20 to a maximum of €100, although this vary over the casino you play at and the currency you are playing in.
The gameplay is relatively simple. If you bet on a multiplier value and you win, your bet on that position is multiplied by its value with 2x, 4x, 6x, and 12x multipliers up for grabs. If, however, you bet on a bonus round and it wins, then you’ll take part in the feature, where the chance to win the following amounts is possible.
- Prize Pick – Choose one of 12 positions to win a prize: 15x to 100x can be won.
- Gold Mania – Select one of three treasure chests to win: 25x to 500x can be won
- Golden Treasure – Select your arrow on the prize wheel to win big: 100x to 3,000x can be won.
Pros
- A very easy and fun game to play.
- The top prize of 3,000x is good for a casino game in this style.
- Fast gameplay without any interruptions.
Cons
- Doesn't have the same feel as playing these kinds of games in a live format.
- The minimum stake might not be low enough for some players.
- It's disappointing when you trigger the features and hit the lower end of what they can pay.
Golden Treasure Game Review Final Thoughts
Given the success we've seen Evolution have with the likes of Monopoly Big Baller and Sweet Bonanza Candyland, it's surprising we haven't seen more of these RNG casino games doing the rounds, as the live wheel games are bags of fun to play, especially the ones that have bonus rounds included within them.
However, even though Golden Treasure does have three features that can be activated, the game doesn't have the same excitement as the live offerings, well, in my opinion at least, and although I did end up playing Golden Treasure longer than I thought, I'm not entirely sure it's a game I'd entertain for real money, not for long anyway.
