Golden Shower, well, we’ll leave it to your imagination to decide what the name really means, is designed inside a grimy, claustrophobic bathroom environment filled with drains, steam, soap, and unsettling animations.

The presentation is deliberately uncomfortable, but it’s actually one of the less-detailed Nolimit City releases recently, we feel. Yes, it looks fine, but it seems to lack that “pop” that makes so many of the studio’s titles stand out.

Golden Shower Gameplay & Bonus Features

Golden Shower plays on a 6-reel, 5-row grid using a Cluster Pays system, where wins are formed by landing 6 or more matching symbols connected horizontally or vertically. You can bet from €0.20 to €360 per spin, so the game offers a massive variety of betting options. The default RTP is marginally above average at 96.04%, but lower RTP configurations are also available; be aware of this.

Now, after each winning combo, the Avalanche mechanics remove all winning symbols, and new ones drop down into place. This is where you’ll also see the position multiplier mechanic coming into play. Every time a symbol is destroyed (removed from the reels), a 2x multiplier is added to that position. If a multiplier already exists in that position, it’s doubled, and each symbol position can, theoretically, reach a multiplier of up to 999x!

Golden Shower also has a few what are called “destructive features” in the base game and bonuses. Wild Burst converts unused winning symbols into Wilds that can then explode if they don’t form part of a win, while Steam transforms all instances of a selected symbol into a higher-paying one. Floater and Drain act more like “recovery mechanics” on dead spins, either upgrading multipliers or refreshing the grid.

Landing 3, 4, or 5 Bonus symbols triggers the Gold Spins feature, awarding 6, 8, or 10 Free Spins respectively. During Gold Spins, all position multipliers are sticky, so they do not reset between spins.
