Game Overview

Gold Spinner is the latest 2025 release from Inspired Gaming, and it’s a classic-looking money-collect slot built around coin chains, reel expansions, and a surprisingly volatile bonus round. Is the game worth a play? Find out in our detailed Gold Spinner slot review.

Theme & Design

Inspired Gaming has a habit of taking simple ideas and giving them a slick, polished presentation, and Gold Spinner fits that template perfectly. The game is set against a shifting electric-blue backdrop, almost like drifting through outer space, with the reels floating in a neon-lit void.

Now, it’s certainly not the worst looking game in the world, and we also quite like the addition of the Mini Slot above the reels. We’ll talk more about this later. On the left-hand side of the reels you’ll also see the game’s four localised jackpots.

If you’re unfamiliar with Inspired Gaming, they’ve produced some decent games but haven’t ever quite seen the levels of success online that they enjoyed in land-based markets. Still, you may recognise some of their titles, like Cops “n” Robbers Megaways and Desperados Wild Megaways.

Gold Spinner Gameplay & Bonus Features

Gold Spinner uses a five-reel, four-row layout with a 1024-ways-to-win mechanic. You can bet between €0.10 and €100 per spin. The RTP is 94.50%. Now, there’s quite a lot happening in Gold Spinner, and you’ll notice that coins appear on all reels. The values they display vary depending on which reel they land on. Coins on Reels 1-4 can be worth up to 5x, while Reel 5 can land Free Spins Coins or Mini, Minor, Major, or Mega Pots, worth 10x, 20x, 50x, and 100x, respectively.

Coin wins are awarded when there is at least one coin on Reel 1 and Reel 2, and then every consecutive reel containing at least one coin continues the chain. As soon as a reel in the sequence has no coin, the chain stops and no further coins are added to the win.

If you look closely, you’ll also see a coin pile above reels 1 and 2. Every time a coin lands on Reels 1 or 2, it goes into the pile. At random, the pile can activate, and when it does, it drops a coin onto reel 1 or 2.

Remember that Mini Slot feature we talked about earlier? When Reels 1 and 2 both contain at least one coin, the Mini Slot activates. It spins three mini-reels, each delivering one of the following outcomes:

  • Single Coins: Adds a coin to a random reel position
  • Extra Coins: Adds 3+ coins to the reels
  • Boost: Increases the value of all coins on reels 1-4
  • Multiplier: Applies a 2-5x multiplier to all coins on reels 1-4

Now, Gold Spinner also contains a free spins bonus, triggered by landing coins on all five reels, and when reel 5 lands a free spins coin. You then receive 10 free games, and during the feature, the Mini Slot reels lock in place, so you get their outcomes again and again. You can also win extra free spins by landing a new full “chain” of coins + a Free Spins coin on reel 5.

Bonus Buy / Feature Bet Options

Gold Spinner contains four bonus buy options for players in eligible markets:

  • 10 Free Spins: 60x
  • 20 Free Spins: 115x
  • 30 Free Spins: 170x
  • Mystery Free Spins: 90x

You can also activate the Fortune Bet, which increases your bet by 20% and makes it 35% more likely for bonuses and features to land. Gold Spinner also contains Feature Spins, which allows you to play with only coins and blanks on the reels.

Pros

  • Unique Mini Slot mechanic.
  • Free Spins can get lucrative if reels hold.
  • Coin Chain system keeps the base game fairly active.

Cons

  • RTP is fixed at a low 94.50%.
  • Max win potential is low at 3,333x.
  • Reel 1-5 coin requirement can get frustrating.

Gold Spinner Slot Review Final Thoughts

Gold Spinner is a fairly engaging release from Inspired Gaming, and it’s one that takes the familiar money-collect mechanic and combines it with, in our opinion, just enough variety to keep things feeling fresh. We really like the addition of the Mini Slot feature, and with all of the boosts, multipliers, and falling coins from the Coin Pile, there’s plenty of non-stop action, too.

Things can also get pretty interesting during the free spins bonus, especially when the Mini Slot reels start locking and repeating their outcomes. However, we just can’t help but feel that the maximum win potential of 3,333x is way too low. Today, players, more than ever, want to see big, 50,000X+ max wins, and for a game to be released with this many features and still only offer a 3,333x max win limit?

Well, to us it doesn’t make much sense, especially when you throw in the below-average RTP, too. Still, Gold Spinner is a pretty entertaining game, and if you want something clean, structured, and fun, albeit without much win potential, it’s a solid game to check out.
