Slot Overview
Gold Mine Express is the latest TaDa Gaming release, and this 5×3 video slot is packed with collecting mechanics, train features and a solid maximum win potential of up to 5,000x your bet. There are also random multipliers, jackpots, and a unique minecart collection system, so is Gold Mine Express worth a spin? Let’s find out.
Gameplay & Bonus Features
Gold Mine Express is played on a 5×4 reel layout. There are 20 fixed paylines in play at all times. Wins are formed from left to right, and you can bet between €0.20 and €200 per spin. The game offers a healthy above-average RTP of 97%, too.
Now, at its core, Gold Mine Express is a collection-style slot. Gold ore symbols appear on reels 1, 2, 3, and 4, and when they land, they each display a cash value. These values are gathered into the Minecart meter above the reels, and once it’s filled, the Minecart can trigger a Gold Drop, adding extra Gold Ore symbols to the reels or dropping a Bell or Golden Train symbol onto reel 5.
The Bell symbol can only land on reel 5, and when it does, it collects all visible Gold Ore values. If train symbols are present on reels 1-4 at the same time, the train feature activates. The Golden Train symbol functions in a pretty similar way, but it applies a multiplier to the total, instead.
Now, during the Train feature, matching coloured train cars collect prizes tied to their corresponding train symbol. The last carriage to appear can also award an additional multiplier or even a jackpot prize, which is how the game’s jackpots can be won.
Finally, there’s a Free Spins bonus, triggered by landing three of the Scatter symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5. Here, there’s nothing overly special, but it is possible to re-trigger additional spins by landing another 3 Scatter symbols.

Theme & Design
Gold Mine Express takes you deep underground into a classic Wild West mining setting, and the slot’s background features rocky tunnels, glowing lanterns and rails that you can just make out stretching into the darkness. Visually, it’s a pretty impressive-looking game, and we like what TaDa Gaming has done here.
The overall presentation feels clean and functional as opposed to overly “in your face”, but we actually feel that works here. For us, it’s quite similar to Money Train 2 and Cash Express, so if you liked either of those, Gold Mine Express may well be up your street!
Pros
- Solid RTP of 97%.
- Fairly engaging Collect-and-Trigger Train mechanic.
- Solid maximum win potential of 5,000x.
Cons
- Volatility seems... higher than advertised.
- The theme isn’t very original.
- Landing the bonus seems tough.
Final Thoughts
Gold Mine Express delivers a structured, feature-focused slotting experience. The game is, clearly, designed around collection mechanics. Yes, there’s nothing overly original or creative here, but we do like how the minecart system has been designed, as it means non-winning spins can also help contribute towards your bonuses in the future.
It also offers a fairly impressive maximum win potential of 5,000x. This is quite rare for TaDa Gaming (their slots often offer really low max payouts), so it’s nice to see the studio experimenting with “bigger” slots, so to speak.
The 97% RTP is also a major selling point, but, as we said, don’t get too excited about the bonus landing that often. It seems hard, and the volatility also seems like it’s high, rather than the medium variance advertised. Still, Gold Mine Express is a simple, straightforward, and somewhat entertaining slot, so if you like this theme, it may be worth checking out.
