Slot Overview
Gods Go Pew Pew is a high-volatility mythology slot from Sneaky Slots, and it puts Anubis and Thanatos up against each other on a feature-packed 5×5 grid. With Wild Transformations, Zone Multipliers, two Bonus Games, and a maximum win potential of 9,999x, is Sneaky Slots’ 4th release any good? Let’s find out.
Theme & Design
Sneaky Slots remains one of the industry’s newest game developers, with just three live titles as of the time of this review: Gopnik, Freak Show Revelation, and Nip Tuck.
Visually, Gods Go Pew Pew looks fine, and it gives off a slight Hacksaw Gaming vibe, in our opinion. The reels are set against a dark, grim backdrop, and you’ll see signs of the underworld, with the reels set in what looks to be the remnants of an old city.

Gods Go Pew Pew Gameplay & Bonus Features
Gods Go Pew Pew is played on a 5-reel, 5-row layout with 50 fixed paylines, paying from left to right. Bets range between €0.10 and €40, and the game boasts a below-average RTP of 95.80%.
Now, the backbone of the base game in Gods Go Pew Pew revolves around two God symbols. When either lands, it turns into a Bone Wild, but when both appear together, they fight. The god that wins this fight then activates a special effect:
- Thanatos: Splits symbols to effectively double their multiplier value.
- Anubis: Upgrades certain low value symbols into high-paying ones.
Gods Go Pew Pew also contains an xZone feature, which can land on the middle reels and apply a shared multiplier of between 2x and 50x to surrounding symbols. If more than one Multiplier lands on the same payline, they stack together, too.
Landing three Hourglass scatters triggers the Death Games. Here, you have the choice to choose between Dead Spins or Lazer Tag. In the Dead Spins feature, a Skull Multiplier increases as symbols get transformed, while the upgraded version of the bonus locks this Multiplier in place.
The Lazer Tag Bonus is slightly more… let’s say, experimental, and here, you’ll see moving skulls, lasers fired by the gods, multipliers that grow as they hit, and a final win value that’s based on the accumulated values once one god is defeated; it’s kind of like a Crash game, in a way.
Sneaky Boost/Sneaky Features
Gods Go Pew Pew also includes a few Bonus Buy/Ante Bet options. Sneaky Boost costs 2x and increases the odds of you landing a bonus round naturally, while the Super Sneaky Boost costs 5x for an even bigger chance. You can also buy a God Fight, regular bonus, or super bonus for 15x, 100x, and 500x, respectively.
Pros
- Win up to 9,999x.
- Pretty original bonus mechanics.
- Sneaky Boost/Features available.
Cons
- The game offers a slightly below-average RTP.
- Gods Go Pew Pew is very volatile.
- Mechanics may feel way too complicated for casual/new players.
Gods Pew Pew Slot Review Final Thoughts
Gods Go Pew Pew is a slot that saves its fireworks for later. You, like us, may find the base game to be quite boring at first. Yes, you can play with Sneaky Boost/Super Sneaky Boost, which does cut down the amount of time you need to spend spinning, but unless you end up hitting bonuses early on, don’t expect too much from the base game spins.
Still, when you do begin to see bonuses and features rolling in, they are, admittedly, pretty exciting. We like the fact that there’s such a contrast between the Dead Spins and Lazer Tag bonuses, and this gives you a solid balance between Free Spins, and... well, we don’t quite know how to categorise the Lazer Tag feature!
Yes, the RTP is a little on the low side, and yes, the design is big and monochrome (similar, as we mentioned, to what Hacksaw Gaming are doing a lot of recently), but the maximum win potential of 9,999x is solid, and for a 4th release from a new studio? Gods Go Pew Pew is a decent effort, even if it won’t be for everyone.
