Slot Overview
Genie Jackpots Combo Frenzy is the latest instalment in Blueprint Gaming’s hugely successful “Genies Jackpots” franchise, and this jackpot-driven game features tonnes of overlapping bonus mechanics, coloured pot features, and a maximum win potential of… just 2,000x. The obvious question is whether all this complexity is worth your time, given the low max win, but can the slot redeem itself? Let’s find out.
Theme & Design
Genie Jackpots is arguably one of the most iconic and recognisable slot series in history. Whether it’s the original classic or later spinoffs like Genie Jackpots Megaways and Genie Jackpots Wishmaker, this is a series that has served Blueprint Gaming incredibly well.
Genie Jackpots Combo Frenzy sees the friendly little genie returning with an Arabian Nights theme. You’ll see a variety of neon colours and glowing lamps, and the familiar (annoying) cartoon monkeys make a reappearance, too.
The reels themselves are set deep within a cave, and we can’t help but feel that Genie Jackpots Combo Frenzy actually looks pretty good! There’s a lot going on, though, which may be a little confusing at first, but once you get the hang of how everything works, it’s fairly straightforward.

Genie Jackpots Combo Frenzy Gameplay & Bonus Features
Genie Jackpots Combo Frenzy is played on 5 reels with 50 fixed paylines, using 6 symbol positions per reel, although oversized symbols can also land and take up multiple spaces. Bets range from €0.10 to €100 per spin. The RTP, in keeping with all recent Blueprint Gaming releases, is a bit below average at just 95%.
Now, at the core of Genie Jackpots Combo Frenzy is three coloured lamp bonuses:
- Enhanced Bazaar Bonus: This is the green lamp’s bonus, and it awards 5-10 Bonus Spins, and small instant Cash prizes up to 40x.
- Desert Dash Bonus: This is the red lamp’s bonus, and it awards 9 to 15 Bonus Spins, with the potential to trigger Cashpot Prizes inside, worth up to 500x.
- Sultan’s Palace Bonus: This is the blue lamp’s bonus, and it awards 7 to 12 Bonus Spins spins with either Cash Prizes or Genie Wild overlays.
Landing enough special symbols guarantees the corresponding bonus and maxes out the associated pot, and it’s also possible to trigger more than one Bonus Spins feature on the same spin! This is where the “Combo Frenzy” part of the name comes from, and it’s during these “merged” bonuses that you’ll enjoy the highest levels of win potential.
Pros
- Multiple bonuses can trigger at the same time, the “combo” element.
- Clear, easy-to-understand rules.
- Decent looking game, and a good carry-over of the theme.
Cons
- Extremely low maximum win potential by today’s standards.
- Below-average RTP of 95%.
- Bonuses can end up feeling quite repetitive.
Genie's Jackpot Combo Frenzy Slot Review Final Thoughts
Look, here at Demoslot, we’re big fans of the original Genies Jackpots game. Yes, it rarely delivered any actual decent wins (by today’s standard), but for a lot of us, it was one of the core games we “grew up with” when online gambling was becomming a “thing”.
We’ve already seen Blueprint Gaming release some superb spinoffs; Genie Jackpots Megaways is perhaps the best example of this - and it’s the success of titles like this that give us real pause when we see Genie Jackpots Combo Frenzy released.
Yes, there is absolutely no rule that says a video slot released today needs to offer win potential into the tens of thousands of times bet, but 2,000x? That’s insanely low, even by 10-years-ago-standards! What’s more confusing is that Blueprint has clearly put a fair amount of time and effort into actually designing Genie Jackpots Combo Frenzy. It looks great, the graphics are really detailed, and there’s a lot going on; the combo mechanics are a really nice little idea.
However, with a 2,000x maximum win potential, is anyone really going to get excited about Genie Jackpots Combo Frenzy? We doubt it. Yes, the bonuses trigger quite a lot, and when the combo features hit, they can deliver decent wins. But it all feels quite limited with the low max win ceiling, and it’s a shame to see Blueprint Gaming take this approach in our opinion.
Yes, Genie Jackpots Combo Frenzy is still a decent game, and if you care more about nostalgia than win potential, it’s definitely worth checking out. We’ll be honest, even we will probably have a few spins on it! But just be aware of what it is and what it can/can’t do, and keep your expectations in check!
